This was absolutely amazing. I don't think a demo this short has ever convinced me immediately to buy the full title (when it comes out) 100% must purchase for fast-paced enthusiasts.

I absolutely love stalker but if you come across this review please know this game is BARELY in a playable state unless you aren't bothered by horrible frame rates, stuttering, and crashes.

My experience running on an i9-14900k RTX 4080 was abysmal. I'll probably check back next year as the current rate of updates/fixes is moving at a snails pace.

Stay safe in the zone Stalker o7

An idle farming game that sits at the bottom of your monitor, what more could you want.

So I want to preface by saying, this game is NOT bad at all. It's really unique, great art, voice acting is pretty good. Concept is cool. However, the ship combat (which is what I was most looking forward to) is the least pertinent part of the game. The ship-to-ship combat consists of TCG-esque (click to attack) targeting combat, the ship movement is a simple click on the next encounter to select it, and automatically "sail" to it.

The majority of the important combat is the deck or land fighting, which sadly to say, is not what I was hoping for. As a turn based combat roguelike, I would recommend this game. However, there is no sailing or true ship combat in here at all. Therefore, I will be refunding the title.

This is literally not worth 99cents do not buy this. Imagine every single bad eastern mmo combined with every bad mobile game you've ever played. I have no idea how this is one of the top MMO's I got literally physically ill trying to even comprehend what was going on on my screen with the gifts and pop ups and random items and I'm experienced in dealing with overwhelming mechanics.

Early Access Review
Review changed to positive

The development for this title has been extremely interested and a bit heart breaking. The conversion to a single player (or co-op) focused RPG instead of an MMO was a great choice for the future of the game.

Wayfinder is unique and interesting, with fast, skill based combat, and a diablo/destiny progression and dungeon system that I absolutely love. Along with a person house that you can decorate which is my favorite feature of any game lol.

I would, without a doubt, recommend this to any of my action RPG fans and I really hope the launch of 1.0 can get more eyes on this because this really is a great game.

Sending lots of love to the Dev team, best of luck with your 1.0 launch

f you are willing to support the development of this game through early access, I would recommend purchasing if you enjoy action combat RPG's (Think Kingdoms of Amalur)

However, this is a very unfinished product. There is a LOT of work to do in tightening up the combat mechanics (such as targeting) movement (jumping and sprinting do not feel good, floaty and disconnected from player inputs), cleaning up and streamlining progression systems (The unlock requirements to unlock other "classes" and weapons very much screams "This game is F2P"), and explanation of systems and currency is extremely poor right now.

There was many moments during my nearly two hours, where I was clicking around to discover things I was unlocking, (abilities and equipables) with no clear indication of when I had even unlocked them. Too many systems with little or no explanation of how they work. Too many "currencies" with little to no explanation of how they work. Inability to see what some of the stats actually do (ie, break power) unless I just missed it.

So, I would rate my two hours (which is not a lot time for a hybrid MMO, however that's how long it took me to decide this game needs to bake longer, before I'm willing to invest more time) at a 6/10 currently.

I won't be refunding this, because I believe that the developers have something good on their hands, and they've clearly put a lot of work into the game so far, and I'd like to see this as a finished product.

That being said, I would not recommend this in it's current state, without explicitly stating this is a development support type of purchase.

I will not be putting anymore time into this until further along in the development cycle, and possibly until full release.

Tl;dr
6/10 EA, Wait for more updates, unless you'd like to support the developers vision. I won't be refunding because I think this could be a sick game, eventually, and I'm happy to support <3

I've got a pretty beefy rig with a 2080 super. Even after reading the reviews about technical issues I figured I'd give it a try because I really really wanted to play this game. However, within the first 20 minutes of a gameplay, the technical issues were glaring. I can deal with FPS drops but the audio was constantly skipping and glitching out. Random cloth simulation issues. Man this thing is a hot mess. Avoid like the plague until there are more patches. Will be refunding.
