This game sucks. Bullets travel through people 30% of the time, everyone is super sweaty and the console players have a free aimbot. To top that off, I haven't seen more suspicious players since PUBG's Chinese cheating problem. The most difficult thing is the map size is massive, yet small, there's nowhere near enough loot, and the sound of a bullet travels halfway across the map. Half of the players hide and won't shoot because once a fight starts you get not just third partied, but typically 5th partied by half the remaining players because everyone can hear you. The dev's might actually be deaf and oblivious to how stupid their sound system is.

This is the most frustrating game I've ever been unable to not play.

UPDATE: It's August 29, 2024. I've logged an additional 2110 hours and steam recommended I update my previous review, so here's an update;

Apex is still trash, I highly recommend not installing as it will waste about 84gb of space on your computer.

This game has true potential. However, 7 months after release I would expect the game to be much further along. I currently have 5.5 hours on record and have explored almost an entire world, gained all equipment to max and no longer have anything progressive to do.

That being said, the game is fun. If you got it on sale like I did, it may be worth it in the long run. However, 17$ for a game with 5 hours of grinding gameplay and lackluster content is not worth it.

In finale, just wait. If the developers continue progressing the game, it will most definitely be worth it.

This game has so much promise... I'm sad to say it doesn't fulfill what it could be though.

I love these types of games, they are spectacular, easy to understand, a little grindy but fun.

The devs in this game, however, decided that the grind should be the most gut wrenching, consistent and slow grind you could ever imagine. To compare, Runescape makes this game look like a paralyzed snail in terms of player growth. It could take years to level out just one skill. It's pathetic.

The community, which is very small and dwindling, is extremely toxic. If you're new, they just ignore you. The staff, they just ignore you. When you need help, there is none.

The devs care none about player feedback. They've made it known that the game is for them how they want it, not the players. If they were open minded, and if this game werent such a boring exhausting grind, it would be much more popular and so fun to play.

This game is hilariously awful. This is the kind of product you get when a 6th grader gets ahold of a free engine.

Obviously don't download, but definitely watch the trailer video for some good laughs.

This game is another typical point and click game, exactly the same as all the others you can find in any phone game store. I don't recommend playing this based off the lack of things to do aside from sit at the same screen for hours clicking, and a few different things which come very, very far into the game. The graphics are fine and the game, if you like clickers, can be a good time waster.

However, I primarily reject this game and give a thumbs down due to the massive amount of in-game purchasing required to play. without a purchase, you can click for years before getting anywhere. Every thing you do points to the store where they sell you low amounts of items for massive costs.

The fact that this game has any positive reviews is just another tribute to the fact this company is utilizing bots to make themselves look better. 5 years ago, the devs released this craptastic piece of work. To this day, you still cannot unmute someone you have muted because of a debilitating game bug. Almost all of this games population is bots, servers are all 300+ ping because why spend money on servers for a game they know is garbage, and the remainder of real players use aimbots and lag switch because realm royale = no anticheat.

Don't waste a second on this. You'll thank me later.

This game has everything that it needs to be immersive. The entire games system is well designed, intricate and sophisticated on an easily understandable level. The graphics are simple yet beautiful. The combat system is fantastic, however sometimes unforgiving. The economy is great and the natural food growth is awesome.

However. one primary function has completely ruined this game - The save feature (or lack thereof).

Imagine playing a game for 2 hours scavenging, fighting, dodging, running, looting, surviving... and then your game crashes. or your computer shuts off. Or your mom tells you you're grounded from the computer because you pooped in the closet again. You don't have the hour you need to run all the way back to save the game. That 2 hours time is now lost - the second the game shuts down you revert right back to your save. This also happens under all these circumstances;

*Your little sister wants to watch youtube videos about barbie and hits the computer reset button
*you die in game
*you've got too much porn in the background and your RAM is over utilized and forces the game to close
*steam decides to download 17 workshop items for no reason and lags your computer to death
*you live in Florida and a hurricane wipes out your power
*sharknados
*random muscle spaz misclick on the X button
*you run out of food and die of hunger
*a bear chases you in the game and doesn't respond to you setting it on fire (4 times)
*you decide to test out the death mushroom and find out it causes death
*you enter a dungeon and get swarmed by NPC's 10 times your level
*poison

Enjoy restarting your game 25 times and then uninstalling. Also, before I even left the tutorial I found a game breaking bug fighting the boss where the boss gets stuck in a wall and cant be attacked.

Yet another pathetic BR which will be dead in 2 weeks. Literal waste of space on your hard drive.

Imagine minecraft, except somehow make the graphics 10x worse. And then throw in a bunch of aimbotters. That is Unturned.
