It's a hard thumbs up to give. On one hand, the gameplay is fantastic. Great array of guns, the classes are well defined and fun to play, and there are plenty of things to do. On the other hand, don't look to this game for writing. It's alright at times, but a few key moments really harm this game for the worst.

All in All. Pick it up on sale.

First and foremost, it's important to know what kind of game you're getting into with destiny. It's an open world, first person shooter with a big emphasis on MMO mechanics. The game offers a steady challenge as you climb up in level and progress through the ever-expanding story, but there will be times where you face a late-game grind once you start to get close to the max level cap. Unless you're playing with friends or a group, that grind can hit hard.

Destiny takes place several hundred years in the future, long after the golden age and subsequent collapse of humanity. You are a Guardian, a resurrected warrior who fights in the name of the Light, protecting the people from the darkness in all of its shapes and forms. It's a wonderful sci fi story with plenty of mystery and lore if you're willing to look for it.

Like I said before, it's a run and gun shooter with MMO based loot mechanics. You kill things, you are sometimes rewarded with a new gun, armor piece, or cosmetic item. Sometimes you get quest items, or various currencies for locations around the solar system. It's not all PvE, though. There are many different game modes between the PvP and PvE portions of the game. Ramped up missions for better rewards, team deathmatch against other players, and even a hybrid gametype where you face off against both bots and players. Destiny has a lot to offer for just about every kind of flavor or player.

The biggest caveat however is that the game requires a solid and stable internet connection at all times to play. You could be on the verge of completing a tough mission and have your internet scramble out, only for you to disconnect and be forced to start from the beginning all over again. It's quite an annoyance for those with less than stellar internet.

It's been a long time coming, but with only Halo 4 left to add to the roster, the Master Chief Collection on PC is nearly complete and checks every box that it set out to fill so far.

If you love the halo games, buy it. It's well worth the money.

This collection is no pushover. With the original versions of every mainline halo game and remastered editions of both Halo 1 and 2, every game looks both perfectly nostalgic and breathtaking in ways that weren't possible when they first came out. An added feature is that you can switch between the original and remastered versions of the games pretty seamlessly with the push of a button, so you can get your classic fix or enjoy them with new appreciation.

There's no additional DLC to buy. Right out the gate, you get every game currently available, as well as all of the DLC that was released for those games. No need to pop in ODST disk 2 in order to play those halo 3 maps!

Each game has the full customization options available for that particular game, and then some. With a season-esque point system where you unlock and complete challenges, you can rank up and get points to unlock new armor pieces, firefight voices, and weapon and vehicle skins. There are multiple "seasons" currently available to unlock items from, and it doesn't seem like they plan on locking you out of being able to unlock items from an older season as of yet.

Each game, for better or worse, feels just like the original. Everything is tightened up for smooth and amazing action, but the balancing issues in each game were mostly left unchanged. The rocket flood will still be the death of me, it seems. The multiplayer is as fun and infuriating as ever, both in competitive multiplayer and Forge Mode

Forge mode is available once again, but not without some upgrades of it's own. New items available for your pleasure such as placing down a Saber wherever you want, or even a covenant dropship.

This game is everything I could have asked for, and it's such a steal for the asking price. Whether you're taking a trip down memory lane or priming yourself up for the latest upcoming installment, I highly recommend getting the Master Chief Collection.

What can I say? Todd makes a good game that is always worth coming back to. While the dungeon crawling elements might be more than traditional and a tad bland at times, it's the amount of things jammed packed into every little corner of this game that builds up into an amazing experience. The civil war quests, both of the story DLCs, even some of the main story missions, there are many aspects of the game where your choices will effect what will happen in ways that satisfy you. Now, that's not to say that you'll be finding pouches of gold in every nook and cranny, but it's the lore, the characters you hear while you walk past, and everything else that comes together to make a game that is absolutely worth playing 8 years later

Obviously you're playing this because you did the Kaori Route in ACE Academy, and if you loved that, you're going to love this. All of the same Pixelfade charm and flare is right here, but with the newer style they used to Crystaline. Replaying ACE and jumping into this one made the animation seem a little jarring, but it's a pretty easy thing to get over. Kaori is just as stubborn and hotheaded as before, and you have an entire "Episode" worth of content dedicated to just her and her fun family.

Early Access Review
Crystalline is another fantastic Visual Novel by Pixelfade. Shooting for a fantasy setting this time, your goal is to find a way back home. While this game does only have one romance option for you, the game offers many different endings and variables depending on your choices throughout each of the five chapters.

All of the characters you travel with are all interesting and well thought out, with each one having their own little story arc to progress their own character. The Novel provides 10+ hours of lore and development pet playthrough (without skipping anything, of course), and the multiple endings and true endings are all worth working towards! If you've liked Pixelfade's games in the past, you're sure to love this one too.
