Well Sony have done it again

instead of coming up with a more elegant solution Sony decided to remove Helldivers 2 from the countries that cant get a PSN account therefore cutting off over half the world from being able to buy the game,

so my review will be switching back to negative Sony need to fire whoever is in charge of these stupid decisions,

and to further speak with my Wallet i have also decided that Playstation PC LLC will be set to ignore so i will never again buy a Playstation title on Steam

for a game that is about a unified super earth spreading managed democracy as i unified front, cutting off 2/3rds of the counties in the world from playing the game Seems really stupid to me

Well where do i start is outriders good? Yes and at the same time a resounding no So Lets start with the Good

The Good

#1 The Game visually Looks amazing
#2 Character are well voice acted and Each class is very Unique
#3 the actual builds for characters are fun to figure out
#4 the weapons look fantastic
#5 the story is well written and interesting

and now onto the bad
#1 NET CODE IS ABSOLUTE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you have friends overseas you want to play with do yourself a favour and don't even think about this game if you want a grindy power fantasy game to play co op go warframe or destiny 2, This game is so laggy cant use skills properly get collision lag get dragged around the map, get phantom hit by enemies, hit though walls just dont and save yourself the agony

THE END GAME LOOT
The end game feels like a total waste of time *mild spoiler* you have 2 thing you can do at end game, Trials and drop pods
drop pods stop giving you decent upgrades at about Apocalypse tier 15 so your only options is trials, however a full run of trials takes a decent chunk of time due to certain fights being gated
and after all of that you get no upgrade, no side grade and this can continue for multiple runs of trails dissapointing but that happens
so what do the devs put in to counter that, "oh hey lets let them level up gear! that will solve the issue"
great if you have been unlucky and have not gotten an upgrade in a while it can cost you upwards of 40,000 drop pod resources to level up, which means another 10 min run of content that will get you no upgrades and you start getting limited to 3-4 maps because those maps have the most drop pod resources as a mission reward. i can understand there being less drops in the beginning, but by Apocalypse 20 they should be raining like candy you want people to keep playing the game it needs to feel like the grind is worth it and the devs have just fallen way to short, "oh you need this piece of gear with these 3 random base stats on them + you want them with these specific Ability Mods and power mod. HA good luck cant even get this one bit of gear i need to drop let alone min MAX the ♥♥♥♥ every time i boot up the game i just feel like its a waste

TLDR: Net code is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and the Devs have missed the mark on loot to grind balance

For an $85 Aud Game, this is a piss poor port Doesn't give you a full list of your controls for keyboard and mouse and all the tool tips are for controller prompts only and the mouse camera feels like you are trying to move it though molasses
this is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ port and i will never spend money on this series again

This game was such a disappointment compared to the original classic Death Rally, Death Rally (classic) is now on steam for free download that and enjoy the true essence of death rally

where you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up
-All the AI have a catch up mechanic no matter what lines you take or boosts you use they will always be faster then you
-♥♥♥♥♥♥ Guns the fact that your guns have unlimited ammo but feel like they are shooting BBs instead of bullets whats the point of even having the guns on there in the first place Give them ammo and make them good

I played this game so much as a kid, and the fact that it has come back working on windows 10 of all things on steam for free is amazing, i would have payed money for this game again, if you want a little time sink with some quite hard game progression seriously petrol in my veins is still rediculosly hard with weapons on give this a crack, Dont even bother with the modern remake, it cant even hold a candle to the classic

Does it have a good story? Yes
Does the platforming and puzzles make you feel like a Jedi? Yes
Does the combat leave you feeling satisfied? Meh
Is the game long enough? Not for $80 worth
Does it fulfil your Jedi Power Fantasy ?? not really
Is the game beautiful? Beyond Belief
Do i regret my purchase?? at full price yes

incredible diversity and atmosphere, a variety of ways to play the game, heaps of replay value but it is really hard

To anyone who enjoys platformers i have no doubts you will enjoy this game, it has some very interesting combat a straight forward leveling system a good crafting system a very interesting story i only hope that there is a 2nd one in the future this is one of my fav games

Launcher wouldnt even start up System.Data.dll is missing, if the devs cant even fix the launcher then im glad i didnt even get into the game, dont want to imagin all of the other crap that would go on with it if the launcher is this F****d
