What a joke of a "game". I never leave reviews after just 1 hour of gameplay, but this experience was abysmal.

THE ACHIEVEMENTS DO NOT EVEN WORK. I am WELL passed the tutorial, and I do not have a single achievement, including the "beat the tutorial" achievement.

There is barely any story, any gameplay, and a LOT of microtransactions in your face.

Money: I knew going in that hentai free to play games tend to be heavy on the microtransactions, and light on the actual gameplay, but this "game" has 4 different buttons on the main screen to access the shop, constantly spamming you with "buy ONE hero for sometimes as much as $100!"

Gameplay: The gameplay is absurdly boring: place your characters on a tile grid, watch them attack. The strategy element is incredibly simple. If you have ever played a strategy game, board game, card game, etc, you will see how the inherit design of the game does not allow for complex gameplay. It's just "place character, win battle, wait x minutes for the free-to-play model to allow you to play again!".

Story: You wake up. You're a captain. Some girl ♥♥♥♥♥ you without any warning, story, build up, nothing. Cool. On to the next mission and unlocking the next girl! Oh you wanted character development? Let's exchange a couple texts before getting hard locked by free-to-play forced "wait x time" timers, or shelling out absurd - and I mean absurd - amounts of real money. I am not even exaggerating when I say there is quite literally zero buildup. Just "win battle, unlock girl, she ♥♥♥♥♥ you without warning, done".

Art: The art is decent, but it's mostly AI with human touch-up, so it's nothing special or praiseworthy.

Overall, what an absurd waste of time. I'll return to the game after the ridiculous "you played for an hour, not much more you can do because free to play gacha!" ticks over, just to see if there is a reason to change my review. If there is, I will. If not, do not even bother wasting your time.

I have never played a beta in which there are ZERO bugs, ZERO crashes, for my entire first 5 hours. Add on top of that it's a remake of one of the greatest games of all time - and has new content on top that's both good and meshes well with the original content!
Regarding Connection Strength: In spite of living in Northern Canada, I'm actually getting an average of only 48ms ping!

I really enjoyed the puzzles in this game.

A lot of puzzle games place a greater focus on foreplanning, as they quick devolve into a mess when simply "figuring it out on the fly".
Opposite of this, puzzle games that have a "figure it out on the fly" style tend to be oversimplified, and as a result, lack depth. This game is in the later category - however without the pitfalls of a lack of depth.

OXXO is a very enjoyable experience that'll net you anywhere from 30min to a few hours of play.

I do not usually leave reviews until I have put in a significant amount of hours into a game, however in light of seeing the mixed reviews at launch on Steam, I have to chime in and say that I honestly think most of the people complaining about this game are crybabies who can't handle that the game has a higher than average learning curve.

While I am only 3 hours in, I am absolutely loving this game, as it reminds me of difficult survival games from back in the 90s. No hand holding, simply "go out there and figure it out for yourself"! I love that feeling.

As for how the game runs, I have tested the game using both an 8700K, as well as a 12900K, both of which used a 3090. While the framerates struggle on nearly maxed out settings, averaging 60-95 fps, my cpu and gpu are both running surprisingly cool, and I have come across barely any bugs whatsoever. I suspect that most people who are complaining about the game not working probably have a lower end machine. This game looks phenomenal on high and maxed out settings - on par with New World's lighting.

I highly suggest giving this game a shot, it nails that intense survival feel with a massive tech tree that makes you excited to plan out your future in the game!

TO THE DEVS: A lot of us are asking for Steam Achievements (from both game owners and people on the fence about purchasing the game). You already have an in-game accolade system that would be more than suitable to clone over into Steam Achievements form. Please make it happen!

[Note: Across all game states (tester versions, full release), I have put in ~290 hours of gameplay, as of the time of writing this review, with 118.9 of those hours in the full release version. Yes, the initial week saw a lot of idle time in server queue, however that is 100% remedied after approx the first week post full launch.]

New World is a game I thoroughly enjoyed, in both the betas as well as the full release. I am not usually one to go easy on developers, as I am one myself, however I am incredibly impressed by the atmosphere and emotions evoked by the stunningly beautiful world that Amazon Games has created.

Taking into account the massive upgrade that this game is compared to their initial foray to game development with recent cancelled games from their new Orange County division, I am impressed by their rate of improvement! The game is by no means flawless, and there are a couple absolutely key features that should not be missing - most notably a separate aim sensitivity for when you ADS - however the studio is constantly updating the game.

I suggest New World for anyone who is looking for a pleasant mmo experience in which you can play at your own pace, while keeping your options open in gameplay. Feel like tryharding? Grab some friends and go to war! Want to kick back and relax? Grab an axe or fishing pole and go exploring the gorgeous wilderness.
This game is not a 10/10, but it is a lot better than most people give it credit. If you think you might enjoy this, give it a shot - and take lots of photo shots while you're at it! =)

I rarely ever leave reviews, especially more so negative ones, but this has to be one of the biggest slap in your face "haha we already got your money scrub" games EVER released.
There are plenty of reviews on Steam which go over the crazy long list of issues with this game, most notably the bullet spray is SO horrendous that it's basically a luck-fest to see if your bullets go even remotely close to where you aim - it's easier to hipfire with the Intervention in MW2 across the map than it is ADS with an AR and land more than 10% of the bullets in your clip in a close range engagement. As a result, I'll simply say this:
This game is worse in EVERY regard compared to Battlefield: Bad Company 2, which released OVER A DECADE AGO on the PS3 / 360 / PC, both in terms of gameplay and performance - and I have a full blown top of the line PC with a 12900K and 3090 that I use to program games. This is not a game. This "release" is a JOKE.

There are very few games where I feel like the developers are constantly reading through comment sections seeing what they can do to improve the game on a daily basis. This game is one of them.
With constant updates, Kingdoms and Castles is a visually pleasing, god mode, run your kingdom, birds eye view, management game, which can be played in a stress free mode or a survival mode. The formula of growing your tiny hamlet to a sprawling city while managing resource collection and utilization for your tiny peasants takes the best bits of classic rts games like StarCraft, adds in a massive cuteness factor, and turns the dial from intense to "enjoy life in the good ages".
This is definitely a game worth playing. Get out there and build your Kingdom!

One of the greatest games of all time. Such a shame Hi-Rez Studios abandoned it for other garbage. SHAZBOT!

What the game actually is: The Tribes series is a first person shooter where the main mechanic is "skiing". Players can ski by removing friction from their soldier at will. Skiing allows one to attain incredible speeds (and heights when airborne), and has an incredibly high skill ceiling. This skill ceiling is amplified by the fact that all non-hitscan weapons (the majority of weapons in the series) inherit momentum from their soldier's velocity, and thus modifies their shots accordingly. The result? An *incredibly* high skill, fast paced, first person shooter that became one of my favourite games to play back in my university days. Alas, if only the game was still supported.

Why am I giving an abandoned game a thumbs up? Purely because the servers are still running, so one can either host their own matches to play with friends, or hope to join a server on the rare occasion that there are some running that aren't password blocked by other hosts. If you can manage to get a match together (with enough players), this game truly shines as one of the greatest games in history. Otherwise, if you don't have a group to play with, steer away from both this game and Hi-Rez Studios games in general.

Additional Notes: I have hundreds of hours on this game prior to it being linked to Steam. The 5.9 hours (at the time of writing this) on Steam are purely the hours I have played post linking my account to Steam - which served no purpose, so I never bothered to.

Super Meat Boy is actually an awesome game. My first impressions of it were not very good, but it gets really good, and really grows on you. The mechanics, level design and music are absolutely stellar. The story is a bit messed up, but it actually makes you really want to beat the antagonist, so it lands up working just fine!

This game is intense. You think it would be a relaxing, sit back and watch kind of game - and you wouldn't be totally wrong as there are very few controls in this game - but the pacing is what makes this game great. The constant rush of planning for the future, while running away from whatever may currently be chasing you (Is that a real monster? Or just a halucina-ahhhhhhhh!!!)
Defintely worth the purchase, especially since it's super cheap in the Steam Summer Sale right now.
