Okay, honest review time. I've played this game since the beta of Destiny 1. That being said, I'd say this pvp meta we're in is by far the worst we've ever been in. Bolt charge alone is strong enough to take out your entire health bar in a fraction of a second. In Trials of Osiris (endgame pvp mode), you'll likely find whole teams running this and it nukes their opponents health with very little effort. I'm all for fun abilities but when they are little risk + high reward, it makes it not only frustrating to play against but it also bad for the longevity of the game.

That's not all. This game had been previously marketed as a paid game, however, they made it free to play (kinda) where all the DLC is paid. It's more like free to try. Anyone looking into buying this game should note that you have to buy all the DLC plus two extra dungeon keys that cost $20 each otherwise they miss out on content. Also note that if you don't cough up the money to buy the more expensive annual pass version of whatever DLC is currently out, you miss out on that dungeon key, so again, $20. And you cannot buy that outright from Steam either, you have to buy it with in-game currency.

The community of this game is a mixed bag. I guess that comes with any game, but it's definitely not as welcoming and friendly as it was back on console in Destiny 1. People will refuse to help you through content if they don't need it anymore just because. I will say that if you find good friends or clanmates, it does help a lot. Without the people I've met, I would have quit this game a long time ago.
