I absolutely love this game, but I wanna give this a honest review so im gonna start with the cons, now take in to consideration that this review was made on launch day so some of the cons have probably been patched out.

The Cons.
-it's a bit buggy, such as sometimes in the story mode you will spawn in the wall and be stuck there for a bit but to fix it is simple just get attacked where you get knocked down or just keep dashing and wiggling your mech to get out.
-the hit reg is a sometimes off and you wont hit the opponent even if it looks like you should have.
-single player is easy as hell, mainly because your "mods" you unlock are op as all hell.
-the animations are a bit janky (but it still feels right for what this game is, it also adds some charm to the game)
-a bit lacking in content ATM (they have said they are definitely add more soon.)

Now for the Pros.
-every mech and pilot are unique and have their own feel and style.
-all of the mechs have the same control scheme to them which makes every mech easy to pick up and play, but since they all have different fighting styles and ability's they are hard to master.
-it is a blast to play solo/coop vs AI (although a lot easy to humans) or its best part PvP.
-the ultimate ability's are F**cking bonkers.
-amazing coop you can do 2v2 in separate mechs or 4 players in one mech.

TLDR: if you played godzilla destroy all monsters melee or love kaiju movies you will love this so much. wait for a sale if kaiju stuff is meh for you but a definite full price buy if kaiju stuff is your jam.

This game is by far the best vent and sewer exploration game ever.

10/10 would go spelunking again.

But seriously this is a fantastic game that you must play.

Graphics-9/10
The graphics are top notch with one of the best uses of parallax mapping the i've seen in a while,

Story-5/10
The story can be okay to great depending on your tastes.

Sound-7/10
The voice acting and sound effects are really good but the music can be overpowering at times by default, not that the BGM is bad just loud and its really cool that they have persistent TV and radio shows in the game.

Immersion-9/10
I and Adam Jensen Aug God.

Gameplay-9/10
Everything feels nice and tight the only thing i would change is the jumping its a minor problem but sometimes when you go for a long jump you miss the ledge even when you should be able to easily climb up it. The gun play is fun and looting is somewhat rewarding and the heart of this it the environments its jammed packed full of things to hack, break, loot/steal and interact with for reasons of exploration and adventure.

TL,DR

A fantastic experience that you will sink hours in to sneaking ,fighting and shooting you way through and around enemies only to crawl in sewers and vents some more like a good Augmented death machine.

Overall-8.2/10

Ok let me start off by saying that I hate uplay in its entirety, and I hope that the more, money at the cost of simple ease, redundancy and really everybody’s convenience stops because they have like twenty games on uplay and its pointless just go throug steam and make a deal.

But to the game itself, I put in a good fifteen hours in to the game at launch and I have only really been able to do that with a couple games. The game alone is a fantastic work of open world awesomeness that combines the f*cking around that people love from the saints row games and meshes it in to almost all the story elements that you must have from almost all of rockstars games. And the only reason all the review sites are giving this game bad reviews is because of the problems from uplay, and because instead backing up and patching some the game for a few months the DEVS decided to make it look prettier, I am all for that but if it is at the risk of putting the whole project in jeopardy then it is a bad call.

I love the game to death and the story is not very long and the boss fights are not that spectacular the game makes up for it in the rest of the game making exploding a junction box look like a digital nuke went off is really cool, And the street npcs felt important and I kind of felt bad killing them and they would react to everything you would do.

I’m not going to spoil anything, but people are saying the ending sucks but I think it fitted in to the whole game like an ice cube in a blue chip ♥♥♥♥♥♥ vagina, in other words it worked well and really the game didn't disappoint and after you beat it the game has so much left to offer when you’re done like that blue chip I was talking about.

Instead of ranting any longer I’m going to put it in simple points with one or two and some words numbers to save time.

>gameplay: Fantastic. 8/10

>story: not bad. 7/10

>driving: acadie but it feels good. 7/10

>single player: fun and it never leaves you waiting to do stuff. 8/10

>multi-player: almost the same as single player. 7/10

>characters: npcs feel important to the game. 8/10

>mini-game: its f*cking mini-game galore up in here. 9/10

>customization options: almost non-existent. 3/10

>bugs: anything less than the recommended specs you’re f*cked 2/10

>in all the game is an 8.7/10
the game is fun and has a lot to offer but is held back by all the bugs from uplay and poor optimization. the only thing I have left to say is, is GTA5 on pc?
