Good stuff.

-Great game with mechanics good enough to carry it alone if needed-
One of the few driving related games that I can really get into. While not into racing games, the idea of planning a route through an SCP infested forest so I can get the resources to upgrade my car is endlessly appealing.

The primary game loop is scavenging along a drive while trying to figure out what the various SCPs do.
The scavenged resources you bring home to upgrade the garage and your car, which is immensely satisfying.

The story is okay, the driving (Ha get it) motivation for your character is that your car is in theory going to kill you. This isn't really... delivered on? Or at least I never got the sense that I was in any real danger.
The secondary motivation is focusing on interpersonal drama between giga-nerds; but it has a relatively nice bowtie ending for all but one character.

My main disappointments are the with the SCPs and the story itself.
The SCP variety is a bit lacking with most of them not being big threats, would like to see their roster expanded (With either variants or just new ones) or have their behavior tweaked on a higher difficulty for example. Once you realize that most of the SCPs are at most mild annoyances, the game loses a lot of its driving tension.
The story struggles to wrap me up in to the same level that the car based mechanics do. While not bad, the characters weren't particularly compelling.

Its a game for those that really enjoy the starship troopers world, but for an RTS its a bit lacking.

Your units can't attack and move, nor can they fire through each other. So a good chunk of the game is inching your army forwards ensuring they have a consistent cone of fire. Otherwise the bugs will run you down and chow on the boys and girls. This system feels great whenever you're defending an area as with proper setup you have far better killing power than the bugs. On the flip side feels rather tedious when trying to advance to take new areas.
This combined with the campaign having a fair amount of linear no build missions really seems to put the worst foot forward.

Recent patch has really helped correct the direction the game seemed to be headed in. Love the new direction so far, provided it can be maintained. Now if only we could get the sale of the game in other regions addressed.

Sony hasn't added the restricted regions back into the game, and they've taken more countries out. Back to a negative review until that gets addressed.

Sony is backing off and they fired Spitz; life is great.

Really love the game, but Sony needs to take its hand out of the cookie jar.
Regardless of if Spitz meant to inflame the community, it certainly motivated me to leave a review.

Got stuck in a conversation with an NPC and found out the autosaves are odd, so lost easily an hour+

First time really playing a armored core game, really quite enjoying it.

Quality gameplay and amazing value.
Base game will entertain endlessly, with mods allowing it to truly ascend.

Play on an entirely medieval world with the tech tree locked to early game? Excellent.
Play as high tech space marines, jumping from world to world? Of course.
Naked and alone on an ice sheet with little time to work before freezing to death? Expected.
It's got it all.

One of the few games that can keep me coming back again and again.
