The true successor to Diablo II...

If youre new (like me) and start playing in a league (season), and you dont complete the acts before the season is over... just keep playing your character after it converts to Standard League (where all characters go after a season)

It's worth it, a lot of the good league mechanics end up in standard league anyway.

Just dont... Empty and dull, just like everybody warned. This game needs a hard reboot back to Saints 2.

YO! They finally added steam achievements! And they activate retroactively, just have to launch the game to pickup the achieves you would have already earned.

Still launches Ubisoft Connect unfortunately.

Bottom line is it's a beautiful game that is well optimised. Pretty basic story about a failed near-future utopia crawling with militants, ai drones and bots. Heaps of rewarding exploring to be completed.

Somewhat basic story that i found confusing to follow initially as far as navigating the mission menus are involved and how they're displayed.... good controls and remapping available. Amazing game feel and character control systems - such as going prone and covering yourself in the surrounding mud as you get ready to merc an encroaching patrol.

Predominantly third-person overshoulder, with ability to swap which shoulder youre looking over on the fly, furthermore while aiming-down sight you can toggle first person mode, so youre looking down sights or into your scope.

Decent skill tree and perk system, character customisation and gunsmithing (attatchments/camos etc) all present.

Another very nice system is the ability to turn off mission guides, so you actually have to read and understand the intel you find along the way... so instead of a marker saying "go here" it gives you a region, a North-E-S-W bearing and you have to go discover. Also various custom settings for minimised user-interface to suit your desired amount of realism and immersion.

Some form of PvP mode is available that i have not tested, i do know the mode effects what perks you can take due to them being potentially overpowered in that mode.. adversely there are perks/traits that specifically mention their ability to effect enemies AND enemy players.

Couple small infrequent bugs. Definitely more than happy with my 'on sale' purchase. If you had a couple buddies to play with and/or youve got the itch for a gamey special forces military sim of sorts.. maybe could be happy pulling the trigger on full price.

Feels like halo. But keep getting matchmade with yanks, love em but not the 250-300 ping from Tassie. Sure its annoying for them too.

GTA4 is probably the grittiest GTA in the franchise. Never completed the whole thing back in the day... done now, still holds up. Nicos a great character.

Is the game fun? Yes.

Is ActiBlizz the most moral and community minded dev/publisher out there.. no.

Thumbs up for Blizzard I.P being on steam w/ achievements.

First boot:
Crashed before splash screen. Suggested me to boot with admin privileges

Second boot:
No problems

First match:
Stuck in loading screen for five minutes after choosing conquest, then straight back to main menu

Second match:
Took a couple minutes for invisible ground to load in, then ran smooth as butter, gunplay was great vehicles feel good. Tried an lmg, sniper, battlerifle and assault rifle and they all felt great. Ranked up to 7, though our team lost pretty hard.

So far so good.

Day 2

Moved install to my m.2 nvMe drive from my old sata hdd... wow, all loading and graphical issues gone. Strongly recommend a fast drive for install location.

Class system seems cool too, not over the top like advanced warfare, but decent situational perks. Grapling hook or wing suit is great for gaining positional advantage, while riot shield or sentry gun is good for hunkering down.

Second day definitely feels better as im understanding the maps better.

Almost nobody on voice comms, and dont see many squad leaders marking obj. Playing at midnight in AUS, still getting full lobbys most of the time, other times we have a few useless AI's
