I bought this DLC just so I could use "100% Jerma Juice" mod and play as the Rat Pirate himself.

This is NOT the Classic you would think it is, but I will start with some great things about it:

+ Great soundtrack;
+ Unique 2D combat system;
+ Nostalgic artstyle, which lets you cope with your childhood;

However, this is where I end the good part, as this game has a lot of issues to which the childhood me can't cope. This is Season V of the original Grand Chase, but with even more negative and MTX twists :

- No GP (in game F2P currency) sink, since you can't purchase armor or Champion mode tickets with them;
- A singular life, if you die, you need to use Bonus revives, which you either get from wasting attendance points or swipping your card; (The thing has been resolved, as you get back up to 3 daily bonus revives if you use them)
- You don't get free 3 revives every day, so if you waste your 10 bonus revives you got from the start, well...;
- 4 Playable characters in total (The Generic "RuneScape Combat Triangle" 3 + Ninja boi), which makes their promotion of AP/Hybrid characters useless;
- No character unlock GP missions, so you won't be able to unlock more characters whenever you want, you will either need to be checking events or swipping the card again;
- Misinformation on some items, which you don't get from playing the game (as their description say);
- Overpriced Attendance points crucial items (Champion Mode Tickets, Event entrance tickets) which cost 2 days worth of logins for 1 attempt and consumables (Bonus Revives, Natal Rings);
- Heavily gacha dependant;

Conclusion:

Still a great game if a part of you wants to cope with your childhood, but be aware : I don't care about your money and what you do with it, but they know you are an adult now and have money, so they want to milk you by using your nostalgia.

If you ever wanted to beat the living s**t out of Koji Igarashi for basically inventing Metroidvania genre, this DLC is for you. But be aware, if you are not prepared, he will beat you up and send you back to the Symphony of the Night.

If you missed the previous promotion on Kicktarter and wanted to support Igarashi's goal, but wasn't able, you can do it via this DLC, because unlike other major AAA title, it decided to strip away of the "exclusivity" part. I got this DLC in that mindset and being blown by it, because after 15 hours of gameplay, I wanted to support it even more.

It doesn't unlock any content, apart from the single weapon, just a singular boss battle, but at least it's the hardest boss in the game, so good for a challenge. It doesn't unlock any extra content and doesn't lock any progression/achievements, unlike other Game company's DLCs...

As the Aria of Sorrow was my first Castlevania title, it did hold a special spot in my heart, so when I picked it up (and got it gifted a minute later), I mainly expected a Symphony of the Night style of the game, because I went as blind as I could, without reading any reviews, manuals and rellying on the good old "It's some good stuff" from a friend, so you can imagine my surprise when I found out it is heavily based on Aria of Sorrow, so my mind was blown away...

The music in this game is amaizing, and if I could give a single tip to the newcomer, it would be "Turn up the Music".

Gameplay itself is as Metroidvania styled as it could get. It has plenty of gamemodes to offer due to the reached goals on Kickstarter, so thanks to it, game has plenty of replay value. Different weapons can also open-up a bunch of new challenges, like specific weapon class locked run only or maybe even a "cosplay" styled run, while dressing up as a different character from different fandom.

Castle exploration might be the weakest one, but it's a good thing for most. If you can suspect that there is a secret room or something hidden, there mostly is. By exploring castle you can find a lot of refferences for different fandom cultures.

In conclusion, if you are a fan of RPGs, Metroidvanias, Platformers, Exploration or just a good game to have in your library, this one is the one you definetly need to grab.

Total rating: 99.6/100 , because I am not finding last hiddens rooms in my first playthrough without using wikia

Edit : Unlike other companies, which just take the money after the threshold was met, they release stuff as DLC for more cash, but not with Bloodstained, where any new and updated content is free, it almost makes you BLOODLESS

What else I can say, it's a classic, masterpiece and whatever other words you use to describe something which is above God Tier. Definetly a game worth to pick for any RPG lover and definetly a game to try for everyone.

Gotta love this game as the best sports simulator in Steam market, being able to surpass any other garbage EA (or others) throw under the "Sports game" section.

Wait, there is something more than just Blitzball? Hmmm, maybe... But kicking the ball is way better than just killing a giant whale and having daddy issues, right?

Vilnius, 1905.
The world is like it used to be... Everything is calm, skies aren't invaded by thousands of pigeons and other "friendly" birds with free white item drops on you. We decided to make a package delivery services, but we probably weren't that smart picking our boss/air-man, whom at first level shouts ALLAHU AKBAR and crashes us into Vilnius Cathedral Bell Tower for entire 10 minutes. Also, it was not smart idea to take a guy whom always plays Counter-Strike : Global Offensive for most of his time and gives us calls to pick the "Package" and deliver it into the "Spot". - Antanas Sidabras

So, this game is about playing with mouse (if you are casual) or going pro like me, while using microphone. This game is on sale for -96%, but it's definetly worth it to pick it up for full price. The extra score goes to this, that it's made in Lithuania, my country.
