Overall I really enjoyed the Demo, the artstyle felt unique, and some specifically the cutscene of crawling through a tunnel with the hand at the end was reminiscent of both Signalis and Faith, this is not a critique, if it's a hommage, that's very cool, and if it's just a coincidence that's nice as well since I quite liked the cutscene. Atmosphere, from an audio and video perspective, was very eery and looming, which to me seems what it wanted to be, so that goal was achieved.

Though since pure praise doesn't really help in improving a game, I also have some points of critique:
First of all, lighting for some segments, specifically some pits in the cave, but also the descent after obtaining that cannister, were very dark to the point where I couldn't exactly make out what was going on.
Another thing, when the speedboat was driving, the audio seemed just a bit too loud, while that fits the situation, it's very juxtaposed to the other, well-mixed sections of the game.
While on audio, sometimes, when transitioning to a different room, the audio seems to cut between the two music tracks/atmospheres too abruptly, it made me stop my movement for a second and felt a bit off.
Moreover, during the facility section where you collect that valves, if you fall into the water, that music of looming death, I feel it sets in just a little to quickly, and definitely with the volume set way too high, both for when underwater and when above but in it, It feels more like a jumpscare than rapidly building dread, which seems antithetical to how the rest of the game is designed.
In that same section, after having drained all the water and walking on the ground floor, the walking sound was reminiscent of metal, which the ground personally didn't look like (even more odd that the jumping sound didn't sound like metal), maybe it's a perception issue of mine, but it stuck out to me.
A short thing about the controls, generally simple and a non-issue, though I did not see the use in being able to pet (?) my plants, some skulls or the empty valve spots. Since the game doesn't explain anything to you, which generally adds to it, it made me wonder if there was a purpose to this.
Lastly, and this is less criticism, but just something I assume is by virtue of it being a Demo, especially during facility section, it sometimes seems as though you can go to certain places/doors when you can't, I'd hope to see this fixed, or rather changed, when the full game releases.

Again, I enjoyed the game, but there are issues I had, which would be nice to see changed in the final release. I will certainly be looking forward to this game coming out, keep up the good work.

Frankly amazing, a further breath of fresh air, after the base game itself was already such an extraordinary. Shadow of the Erdtree is massive in terms of the map, added weapons, weapon types, and new bosses that provide a good challenge and get you to shake off that rust you may have been gathering. With that size did come so performance issues at first, though with them having been fixed, you"re free to enjoy the expansion again.
Definitely something I'll look foreward to in future playthroughs, and an overall great DLC.

Nicely accessible fighting game, Goldlewis has half circles, Elphelt's Theme rocks.

So glad I didn't buy Lord of the rings Gollum instead.

Amazing game with a charming arstyle and melancholic music at it's best. The movement feels fluid and the platforming is satisfying to perfect. My only issue with the game are 8-A and 8-B, as the dash mechanics felt out of place, so I must admit, I did use assist mode for those, though 8-C was fine after some practice.
I'm currently halfway through Farewell (The 9th Chapter), which is a great spike of difficulty from the other levels, though such a relief each time you complete a screen, I will update this review once I beat it.
I highly recommend this game to fans of platformers.

Edit: I finally beat it, damn that was a journey, but I'm proud of myself!

Lovely open world and game design, the nature of which allows it to be a lot more accessible, great first Souls game.

From start to finish just an incredible game, and even before that, the store page alone is incredibly, I highly recommend this emotional journey.
