I miss you.

I haven't been on Steam since the new year started, but I heard about what happened from Lai-chan and Dragonwanderer via e-mail. This year started off incredibly dark, and hearing news of your passing last Friday has made it that much bleaker.

We might not have been the closest of friends, but you've always stood out in my memories, from the days of Ragnarok Online and the Prontera Parish to the times we've played Phantasy Star Universe and RO2. I wish I had known of the hardships you were facing ... I had no idea you were suffering as much as you were, the times we've talked over the previous year. I can't help but feel that I've failed as a friend to be there for you when you needed a shoulder the most.

I wish you could have found peace some other way than through this.

There's a rather large hole in my morning ritual here where normally I'd be having a bit of a chat with you and screaming at my cat as it 'accidentally' rips new holes in my legs. I'm not quite sure what to do now. Im left with silence and a dysfunctional cat

I've known you for roughly 4 years now and as time exceeds and excels that number, I'll continue to know you until I can't. You helped me through a number of dark spots since I met you, whether you knew that it not and the level of sorrow and regret at the thought that I couldn't fully return that kindness is without depth.

You're someone I always enjoy chatting with and simply hanging out with (even when either of us was in one of those "everything and everyone is ♥♥♥♥" moods). I figured you needed some space for a while when you stepped out for that two month stint and was ecstatic when you came back.

Ill miss hanging out, ranting at the world, pokin holes in the internet, laughing with you when you're brother makes the absolute WORST puns that caused me to audibly sigh, burning the midnight oil playing some ridiculous mini game one of us found online, and chatting with someone I considered a family member.

Your decision and memory will affect me for years to come.
