DayZ is easily the best game I have played. In three months, I have dropped almost 340 hours into this game. I disliked it at first when I realized that is isn't COD and getting gear takes time. I later came back when a friend taught me to play it. Here's why I think it's the greatest game ever.
PROS:
-Amazing graphics
-Rarely laggy/glitchy
-Large selection of weapons to use
-Player interactions are adrenaline filled and amazingly fun
-Every weapon can be good, I've seen and done squad wipes with simple weapons such as a Glock.
-Roaming the map never gets old, there are so many places to go
-Different challenges to try every day, for example, the pistol only challenge
-Bases are amazing to create, and even better to find
-Hold-Ups

CONS:
-Sucks to get killed
-Running for hours, but is is part of the reason why the game is fun

I'm not sure why people always mention bugs and glitches, as I've never experienced any of them. Also not sure what the issue is with this game being Early Access if it's a good game, don't know why people complain. 0.61 was truly revolutionary, it took away the chance of getting a Bolata spawn, running up to Pavlovo, Myshkino, and Zelenogorsk and getting geared within an hour. It instead focuses on northern pvp, with most of the spawns being by the North Western highway area. The idea of adding a small military checkpoints between a lot of the towns is a good idea now, it's an easy way to get prepared to go to the larger military bases where players will have more gear. Tisy is amazing! If you're able to get a Svetlojarsk spawn, you can work your way up to Novo, then the Kamensk base, and then Tisy, if you survive all of this, you WILL be very geared! People complain about the run to Tisy, but honestly, it takes about the same amount of time to run to Tisy from a Svetlojarsk spawn as it did back in 0.60 and other versions by getting a Bolata spawn and running to Myskino tents. The devs want us to focus more on northern pvp instead of coastal pvp. This is a much needed change and one that I personally believe will carry DayZ to go on as one of the best games in history.
