I got kicked for killing Coach!

This is an awesome game, if it worked consistently. Period. The combat feels fluid and natural, but it is all ruined by how difficult it is to actually play the game. I cannot and will not comment on the story or level design itself because I have not experience enough if it without the game crashing. About 30 seconds in the game crashes, Oh and the crashing happens regardless of two or one player. Next scatch off the local-coop tag as getting coop controllers setup is one of the most frustrating systems ever, that also bugs out forcing one to set new controls almost everygame.

Do not buy this game in its current state, should still be in early access as of writing this review on Sunday May 25.

Check for updates that work with the bugs as this game is GREAT! Simply released too early for one reason or another

Firstly, There is no cake level!

Now, for those looking for a different flair in their rogue-lites Tower of Guns has been worth every moment. It's an FPS rogue-lite, the only other I can think of is Paranautical Activity, combine that with a Boarderlands-esque look with guns and mods that are just as over the top (such as shotguns infused with mines). The semi-random level generation keeps the game fresh yet similar it uses randomly selected premade levels rather than pure random generation. Enemies have been updated and are FAR from static with various types of turrets and flying blades and bumpers constantly pushing you into incoming fire. Combine that with all the details such as the random hilarious storylines and the clean gun mechanics and what we have is a pure synergy of genres that simply keep me coming back to simply find what waits at the top of the tower.

This is a GREAT Rogue-lite. Period
