Tried cause it's free for the weekend hoping it would bring back some nice memories of old NFS games.

After 10 minutes I hate it.

1. How the funk do you restart your account?? Start a new save game? I guess multiple people would not be able to play on the same account cause you can't have more than one save. Dumbest thing I have ever encountered.

2. The driving. Underground/Most Wanted and even Pro Street had a mixture of sim-ish but not overly arcade driving. Here you just drift like in many recent NFS games. How does this make any sense in anything other than a mobile game. Even those are bad now... Overall it just feels bad.

3. I get that someone thought that people liked Most Wanted for the police stuff, but there it had a purpose. Be the MOST freaking WANTED. Why do you get chased by police after every damn race?

4. The cartoon effects look cool. But you can't really see where you're going if there is a huge cartoon drawing covering half the screen.

I don't know how a franchise can be ruined so hard. EA is just an awfully run company. So much talent wasted in this game. The design, even with the cartoony stuff could have been a cool concept. But somehow it feels like such a mess.

Overall just a lot of great ideas some totally dumb ones, lots of good effort and cool visuals and bad decisions blended into a mess of a game. It's a shame. Most of what could make a good game is there, but they chose to do it the EA way.

If there was an option to just modify whatever car you wanted, and freely race it with a couple of friends in whatever modes you want to set up I'd consider buying it.

Easy game with active player base. Downside is the number of updates it gets, you always have to download updates..

Awesome game - Was my 2015 review.

It still is great in many ways, but the cheating problem seems to be ignored completely. Good chance your lobby will be ruined by some sad ♥♥♥♥ on a power trip cause they managed to download a mod..
Some time ago, when people kept bringing up Saints Row, my argument for choosing GTA
was that it is somewhat more realistic.. no flying cars and such crap.. Well many updates later here we are... Grief machine flying bike and all sorts of overpowered crap.
Other than that. Everything is way too expensive while the missions are a grind that barely pays anything.
Which gets me to the last point. Shark cards. Whole game with the new updates seems to be build around them. For you to buy them. With the latest addition of a subscription GTA has gone full cash grab. Milking every last possible penny from people dumb enough to buy boosts in candy crush. A game should not force you to play more time than a job to get what you want, or spend more than what it cost to buy in the first place to just get ahead. At least not to the level it is now...

Whatever. It was ok. Too bad Red Dead 2, another great game is dying. If the direction of GTA6 will be to please the shareholder they might get a good amount of money, but the names Grand Theft Auto and Rockstar will be tarnished and forgotten.. GTA used to be THE GAME, but the way it's going... it probably will stay in the past.

It's a cool fun game, but NOT a 14euro game. If they expect to sell it for that price some updates would be necessary, more maps or something.
