Rather than sandbagging him, and trying to alert the killer to me, maybe you should have stopped for a second and thought "Oh there's a chance they were just trying to bodyblock for me to get the totem"). It's not a Way out-there thought or anything. It's actually pretty common, and people do it for others a lot if they know what they're doing.
