Its worth it for a playthrough, but Id try to catch it on sale. Finished in about 20 or 25 hours.

Pros:
Map & Adventure worth it for the hours of play
Good Controller Support (360, XONE)
VR Support

Cons:
Story isnt really part of the game, its just kind of there in the background in little notes you find.
The Ranch aspect gets a little old and needs babysitting, pulling away from the rest of the game, but it was somewhat relieved with a new update adding in bots that care for your ranch for a few days, Letting you be away longer.

While there is alot of downvotes about the game being abandoned, They announced a long time ago that they were working on a second game containing much more content, including multiplayer, which this one lacks. I usually dont leave reviews, but I honestly enjoyed the game and feel the need to leave one to counter the negative ones. (The sequel is still having weekly updates and is in beta at this moment.)

You can see many areas where the game needs things added onto it, and instead of adding these things later, they released the game, watched the feedback, and began the second one. The premise of the game is very nice, and it is almost well done, but it could have been better.

Overall, I enjoyed the hours I put into it, but yes, it eventually disapoints.

Pros:
Hours of content manging a shop. Early game is enjoyable, Mid game is nice, Late game is meh. You wont get more than 20 hours out of this.
Zap theives and kill invading barbarians, fail miserably.
Placement strategy is nice to learn

Cons:
Controller keybinds are wonky, keyboard controls are needed to play.
Planting&Harvesting has no automation, and spoils quickly, demanding attention to do so.
Some quests take a significant amount of time to complete.
Adventurer system seems lacking.
Pace slows down later, making the game feel grindy, but at that point you can run your shop in the background while you do other things, since most of it can be automated.
Lack of objects unlocked later in the game.
The "crafting/combining/liquid whatever" system is terrible and has no explanation or documentation anywhere on how it works.
