I can't recommend this game to anybody. It's supposed to be a live service game but we see very few updates changing anything. Every new season and DLC is typically tolerable at best. About half of the "new" content in this game is typically re-skinned or recycled from previous years. Due to the layoffs at Bungie there has been an increase in cheaters & bugs that ruin the experience for players.

PvE in this game is enjoyable the first times you run through things but gets stale after a while. Raids and dungeons are typically very well done but aside from that other PvE activities are generally boring and will leave you wanting more. The leveling will keep you busy for a little bit but will become repetitive after a season or two, although the developers haven't increased the level cap in the past two seasons which has been very nice.

PvP is an unsupported mess. The connection quality is horrendous. Weapon balancing is terrible and updates for weapon balance are maybe once every few months. Competitive modes in this game are terrible with bad lobby balancing & connection. Cheaters are prevalent.
