Diving is fun as hell

The core mechanics is great as always, and the tracks are in my opinion some of the best in the series that also comes with an amazing track editor.

Although the menu is bad and the career is a bit grindy at times, it's still good old trials, and overall it's my favorite in the series.

Well this took over my weekend to say the least. I'll try to keep this short; if you like Arena FPS games, then this is a safe purchase. The controlls are tight, weapons feel great and are a lot of fun to shoot, and graphics and sounds are top of the line.

Tons of great options and customisation, but sadly not when you are in game. And for those who want the real oldschool look may have to change a few things in a config file. I have encountered one major bug, and thats the gamecrash if you click and move your mouse a lot befor the serverlist has loaded up completly. But nothing more then that. It runs at 220 fps on my GTX 980 and seems to be very well optimised, and sets a good standard for early access games.

There is only one map at the moment (luckily a very good one), and there is some weapon balancing to be made for sure. Yes the rocketlauncher is silly and way to easy to get in such a tight map. But other then that, flawless! 10/10!!!
New maps, modes and weapons every 2-4 weeks according to the roadmap(link below), and i can't wait to see what else they have in store for this game!

This has been my go to shooter for a loooong time now. What makes me come back to it is the movementsystem and the tight controlls. You can really do some amazing trick jumps, including walljumps, rocketjumps, rocket-walljumps, grapplehooks and all that good stuff. The thing is, the game does a really bad job of teaching you that you can do this. So the game doesn't make that good of an first impression. To go fast in this game (and belive me, you can go really fast in shootmania) you have to put in some time into it. The mechanics are very unique and takes a while to get a hold of. It has a style of it's own and no other game plays like it.
On top of this, it allows player to create new maps and game-modes, items, characters, skins, weapons and more, so it has a ton of content, and there are allways new maps and modes.

There is a really good arena fps here, but it's hidden under some pretty bad menus and the lack of tutorials certainly doesn't help. So you may have do watch some youtube clips.
