I don’t even know where to begin with Pal World. I went into this game with so much hope, so much excitement. The trailers promised a vibrant, creature-filled world where I could explore, build, and bond with my Pals. It looked like a dream come true—a mix of Pokémon, survival crafting, and open-world adventure. But what I got was a broken, shallow, and frustrating experience that left me questioning why I even bothered.

First off let's speaking of mechanics, let’s talk about the gameplay. It’s a mile wide and an inch deep. Sure, there’s a lot to do—catch Pals, build bases, fight enemies—but none of it feels satisfying or polished. The combat is clunky, the AI for your Pals is brain-dead, and the crafting system is tedious. The Pals themselves, which are supposed to be the heart of the game, feel like lifeless props. There’s no real connection or personality to them. They’re just tools to do your bidding, and even then, they’re terrible at it. Half the time, they get stuck on terrain or just stand there doing nothing while you’re getting attacked.

The world design is another letdown. It’s bland, repetitive, and uninspired. The environments look like they were slapped together in a hurry, with no thought given to making them interesting or immersive. Exploring feels like a chore, not an adventure. And don’t even get me started on the story—or lack thereof. What little narrative exists is so shallow and forgettable that it might as well not be there at all.

But the worst part? The potential. That’s what makes Pal World so infuriating. You can see glimpses of what this game could have been. The concept is fantastic, and there are moments where it almost feels like it’s going to click. But then it falls flat on its face, over and over again. It’s like the developers had this amazing idea but didn’t have the skill, time, or resources to execute it properly. And instead of delaying the game to fix these issues, they just shoved it out the door, hoping no one would notice.

I feel betrayed. I feel like I wasted my time and money on a game that doesn’t respect its players. Pal World is a prime example of wasted potential, and it’s a slap in the face to anyone who was genuinely excited for it. If you’re thinking about buying this game, save yourself the frustration and disappointment. There are so many better games out there that actually deliver on their promises.

Final Score: 2/10 – A broken, shallow mess that fails to live up to its own hype. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.
