It doesn't matter if you haven't played Super Mega Baseball 1,

This is the best baseball game out there.

It doesn't matter if you don't like baseball,

This is the best co-op game out there.

Hear me out. The co-op version of the game is played where one player pitches, and the other fields, and while one bats, the other runs. While this sounds like an unequal distribution of responsibility, I assure you it's not even close.

The fundamental difference between the two positions is that one player is a central character with a singular responsiblity, Pitcher vs. Batter, Batter vs. Pitcher. The other player is everyone else, not just supporting the batter or pitcher, but trying to make efficient defensive and offensive plays that can edge the team ahead. On top of that, this alternates per inning, and per batter, which means as a co-op experience, responsibilities are constantly shuffled.

Cards on the table, I was always going to love this game. I adored Super Mega Baseball 1, and have been watching the development of the sequel for months now. But I want anyone reading this to understand that as far as a two-person couch co-op game is concerned, I don't think you can get more out of a game than this one.

Especially if you love baseball.
