I really wanted to like this game and the hype surrounding it after the Starfield Direct really got me even more excited. So much so that I did something I had never done and pre-ordered the game for $100. As a poor college student this is a lot of money to me and put me in a bit of a deficit. I thought at the very least this game would be "fallout" in space but somehow the game feels even emptier and barren than I could have ever thought. The quests are nothing more than shallow fetch quests, the main story is uncompelling and has tons of plot holes, npcs show little to no emotion, planets seem barren and uninteresting, and graphics seem dated compared to games that run on unreal today. It saddens me to see Bethesda fall so far to what they once were.
