What's there to say? It's Mass Effect. One of gaming's most beloved (rightly so) franchises. It's been amazing to come back and play these games together as a trilogy. The nostalgia is palpable and the jokes are still funny as hell. Never been a better time to try the games if you haven't before too.

Dark Tide is probably the best (definitely) shooter set in the worlds of Games Workshop. Fatshark has perfectly captured the look and feel of the environments and weapons of the Imperium of Man and the vile heretics that you'll be dispatching by the hundreds. The graphics are great and the gunplay is very satisfying. There's lots of little details on maps and character models that you'll notice if you have time to look. And for 40 bucks? You won't find a better Co-op shooter. The 40k universe has been beautifully and masterfully brought to life here and it's a joy to play.

Early Access Review
I first saw this game on Youtube a couple of weeks before it came out and was instantly fascinated. The art, environments, and soundtrack are all very good. City management and pre-planning are a must if you want to get the most out of your randomly generated world seed. Even though it's in early access, there's LOTS of structures to produce and resources for each one. Concerns about disease, famine, crop rotation, and security give you lots to prepare for. Gain gold to build up your settlement's capabilities, through trade and tax collection. While it's a challenge and it takes time to grow, this game is a ton of fun to play. If you like city builders, this is a new game you shouldn't pass up. A good way to kill a few hours in the evening after work. Eager to see what they add in the future.

Visceral medieval combat, dashing armor, memes and screams in cockney English, this is truly a beautiful gaming experience. It's chaotic and tons of fun. There's always laughs to be had too. Hope this game stays strong for a good long while.

I haven't had this much fun with a game since RDR2 came out back in 2018. Elden Ring is everything I wanted from a FromSoft game and more. The absolutely awe inspiring landscapes, the boss and enemy designs, the wide variety of weapons and armors, the innovations in combat with new spells, miracles, and ashes of war. I've been playing "souls" games since 2014 and I've invested hundreds of hours in each of them over the years. Elden Ring has quickly become my favorite. I've invested 56 more hours in this game since I initially wrote this and...the world just keeps getting bigger. Like mother of God, I don't think I've ever seen a game this expansive before. I think it has surpassed Red Dead 2 for biggest Open World game I've played. And the fun hasn't slowed down even a little.

I've had very minor issues with performance. Stutters are few and far between (I'm running a 3060ti and a Ryzen 5600X). The only noticeably consistent issue is server lag when I'm doing co-op or pvp. Sometimes it's really bad and people disconnect, other times it's hardly an issue. I imagine this will get fixed over time or lessen as some people finish the game. The only other thing I'll say is that you can't "window" this game while it's running or it and steam will crash.

Overall 10/10 summons, fantastic game.

This review is subject to change, based on changes to the monetization model and future content: That said, this game plays very well. The multiplayer feels like Halo felt back in the late 2000s, for the most part anyway. I have fun playing matches like the good old days. Now that a slayer playlist is in the game, it's more fun as well. The weapons feel good, like Halo weapons are supposed to feel, gunning down enemies with the AR is VERY satisfying especially. (I've always had a soft spot for the AR, my bread and butter since Halo 3). It's worth downloading and playing, especially since it's free. The monetization model is VERY bad currently, with stupidly heavy grind and highly overpriced cosmetics. And the only way to rank up is by doing challenges that are incredibly specific usually. You get no XP based on your performance in game.

The campaign is fun, although the structure feels weird and I wish they showed you more of the story instead of telling it through collectibles. I hope they make addons and more modes, like Spartan Ops and Firefight in the future.

This game is far more skill-based than most shooters out there, imo. But it's worth the learning curve if you put some time in. Because of its unforgiving nature, the pacing of this game varies. Proper hunting and stalking takes time and stealth, whereas gunfights unfold in a matter of seconds typically. If you die, you lose that particular hunter, the gear, and associated perks. This makes the early game rather painful, since you'll be light on funds and only the starter gear available. HOWEVER, if you play like you're running a game of Metal Gear Solid, your stealth will be rewarded during encounters. Kill with melee whenever possible, as to avoid gunfire drawing other players to you. Good headphones are an absolute MUST when playing this game, with realistic surround sound in ear saving my life most matches. Gameplay wise? A solid variety of firearms from the 1890s, good environmental design with huge maps, which will make you forget there's only three of them at the moment. I bought the game on sale for 20 bucks, but it's worth 40 if you want a challenging shooter to test your patience or reflexes. Through many matches, deaths, kills, and escapes, this game has continued to hold my attention. When you have a good match, it's the greatest feeling in gaming. This game has continued to evolve over time, increasing content and developing an ever more solid player base. With that, people are playing differently than before. The game's gotten A LOT more aggressive, increasingly match difficulty substantially. Fights have become less about patience, with rushing becoming the common tactic and more meta chasing. Game has a lot more traffic these days, on average at least.

A hectic, fast-paced, lead-slinging thrill ride. If you're a fan of the Aliens film franchise, this game is an incredibly faithful depiction of our beloved USCM. The weapons feel oh-so-satisfying to use (especially the pulse-rifle and Smart Gun). The customization, while not incredibly extensive at the moment, has a lot of good options for outfitting your marine as you see fit. The firefights are challenging, the enemies MANY and teamwork is essential. Playing this alone is not recommended, as the AI are not the best support on their own. At least one other person should play with you at all times.

The story was crafted very well, by people who very clearly read up on the lore and events of the setting before diving into development. The environmental design and weaponry get top marks in this regard too. It isn't without flaw however, although they are relatively minor things. The dialogue, is INCREDIBLY cheesy, like the movie was in the 80s, and the characters' mouths do not move when they talk. But all the models look very good. The game will have more content added in the future and I am quite excited about the prospect.
So get on out there and have yourself a bug hunt.

Mount and Blade 2 is the impressive follow-up to Warband, which I first played while I was in high school. The sequel retains much of what made the previous game good, while building upon it extensively. The battles are bigger, the combat more chaotic, the command abilities give you far more strategic options. The RPG system is way more in depth, with your background and skill tree being quite expansive. The world map is much more detailed and quests overall work better. Diplomacy, politics, and warfare all have received massive boosts. Building up your army feels rewarding, while also encouraging you to pick and choose your fights. The game also has a fantastic modding community already, with grand total conversions on the horizon. All in all, a worthy successor to a great game.

When this came out, way back in the day, I rented it about a dozen times from Blockbuster to play on my first 360. It still feels great, plugging in my Xbox controller and having at it. The game world is quite pretty to look at, even on lower end modern PCs and the massive battles are a thrill. I will say however, the game design shows its age with repetition in the gameplay loop, and a relatively small world space. Despite that, it's a solid way to kill some hours, either enjoying the big fights between armies, or just running around, killing enemies in a Norse fantasy realm.
