No dedicated server files at this point, very obvious money grab. I've been waiting for the server files for many years and its not coming any time soon. Supposedly its going to be released when the game is 1.0 but if you take a gander at the update numbering its extremely small as to avoid getting anywhere near that v1.0 which makes it obvious. The game is finished game with room to grow post release but that would obviously cut into the profits. My suggestion is you don't buy it till they release the game. Buyer beware, this game will try to force into renting a server from hoster that will kick back money to the devs. Typical Early Access switcheroo.

Game is great. Purchased the game after latest patch! Its a great update, highly recommend to everyone!

Firstly, I do have limited experience boxing and while this game does have a great story and great music... the game feels incredibly arcade-y. I spent around 26 minutes playing against several opponents who had the same chin as the Terminator. I mean these guys could tank hits like a heavy bag. Generally, when I toss a jab I expect a reaction from the opponent, either they cover up, slip, wince, or something. Instead the AI will take the jab like the Terminator. (Think of the scene in T2 where the hospital guard hits the Terminator with her cast.) I think the game is designed more like a DDR in where it wants you to run specific combos at specific times, and the game really doesn't have slipping or rolling modeled well.

I can't personally recommend this game because it was very different than what I expected. I was expecting a boxing simulator instead I got an arcade game with quicktime-esque events. Now I will say, this game is a great workout and if you're looking for a cardio program for your VR set-up where boxing isn't specifically something you care about than this game may be for you. If you're looking for a boxing sim, I would highly recommend Thrill of the Fight.
