Really like the game and im changing my review to positive but the controller support is dogcrap for no reason. For example, driving the excavator wont let it go forward without hesitation but pressing w will make it go without any problems, same for some other key presses. There is no reason a game in 2024 shouldn't have decent controller support native.

Been playing this since it came out on xbox 360, Really hoping for a Charlie Murder 2!!!

Halflife/bioshock rip off that doesn't quite get either thing right.

I was enjoying it until dying the first time in the 4th campaign about halfway through, the AI wasn't smart enough to outwit how many enemies were rezzed by the necromancers and the forced cold debuff from just being near the kids, and it booted me back to kupa keep, with the real kicker being you CAN unlock a perk with dark matter called 1-up for that one singular life, but the likelihood of you having it by this battle is low and requires you to repeat old lvls for more dark matter since each pip taken raises the cost of the next skill. With only 3 melee and 3 ranged it leaves a lot to be desired when your two handed axe can't handle more than one enemies at a time even with whirlwind. I'd love if steam had an iffy option but based on the fact i gotta go redo that lvl just makes me stop playing, especially when the game's campaign is 65% over.

End game resources are tied to a heavy grind, example: Pal oil makes polymer which is required quite a bit later on, also high quality cloth, but only one of those can be gotten off a pal from the ranch, can you guess which one? so people were using the nails method to afford pal oil at 300 a pop, now that they axed that, without a oil earner on the ranch I'm just not putting in the extra effort to keep the game going for x2 the work. Literally have almost every pal except the legendaries you couldn't breed so the incentive to keep playing is, struggle? no thanks.
