Love the game. Incredible game. Now fundamentally broken and utterly in shambles with Valve completely silent and asleep at the wheel.

Imagine watching something that brought you joy forcibly dying in an easily preventable way with just a little care and effort.

That's where we're at.

Valve, you could do anything, but you chose to do nothing.

Early Access Review
A fun rogue like with lots of nuance and depth. Every class plays a bit differently and the new crit system is fun.

Madness is a game about friendship, love, and a variety of social interactions that are spoiled due to a plethora of available weapons and violence.

There's not a single interaction it seems in the whole of the game where you simply don't find a peaceful chat rudely interrupted by a hail of bullets or highly hurtful violent discourse.

You will make very sad times with such encounters if you are expecting happy times that do not involve incredible amounts of shooting and hurting people.

There is a constant need to run from point a to point b and in between, murder all that are in between.

There are also hotdogs and hamburgers.

I have attempted my best to press the hug it out button, but keep mistakenly snapping necks and brutally executing people.

It is difficult to recommend this game to small children but not impossible.

If you seem to enjoy mirthful romps through sanguine soaked alleys and blood buckets of sloppy meat, this certainly does feel like it scratches that itch!

I bought a parrot that likes fire and demands blood. Every waking moment in this game is to feed it's needs now.

If Skyrim were a fairy tale, it'd have the honor of being the only tale where you don't care about what happens to the main characters and instead spend two hours following a wolf and trying to convince it to wear a hat while Macho Man Randy Savage stalks the skies and you hope you brought enough apples for your faithful steed Optimus Prime.

I've spent hundreds of hours in a game only to leave it feeling robbed. Mind you, I'm someone that has blown lots and lots of money on games like TF2 for silly hats and stuff, but Payday 2 wasn't ever supposed to be like this.

Now it's a corpse of a beloved friend, staring at you through a window. You want to remember them for how they were, but now all you see is how awful they look and you want to keep telling yourself that they could come back any day, but it's time to move on and do something with the life you now value a little more.

Seriously Overkill, such a huge huge fan, I'd never played any of your other games, pre-ordered the game based on the fact that you had a good track record, and now after watching you time and time again really actively become ignorant of your fanbase, it's insane.

You became everything you promised you wouldn't and made your fans hate something they loved.

I wish I had something that offered more than a shade of hope on this scenario. I work in marketing, I work with people, I understand how to squeeze dollars from people that don't want it, and you know where you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up? Communication. One oh one. You danced around what you offer the community then freeze when they are startled by the shifts in your loop cycle.

We didn't mind the DLC when it came to help, hell, I bought the Completely Overkill, because it was cosmetic whatever and I figured, I really did support you guys.

Now, you bring in a micro transaction economy while still not even delivering on launch based promises. Shady, shameful and sad.

I've never a quit a video game in this way before, it feels awful, like I'm telling someone it's not me, it's you. You're abusing my trust repeatedly, and frankly, there's a million other things I could chose to spend my time on, but I promise, I know what I definately not spending my money on anymore.

Thanks truly for these initial years of stealth based heisting, but this is perhaps the time where the helmets no longer fly, but they grow dust on a shelf, to grow cracked and remembered, as something we used to appreciate.

Best wishes in whatever game you're trying to create now.

Chaining up a mayor and torturing him so that he can't oppose you during the election has never been simpler.
