A once critically acclaimed game now finds itself built on broken promises. It can still be fun to play with friends. However, the delays, watering down, and cancellations of countless features - reasons for even making it a sequel, like PvE and skill trees - are just some of many promises that have fallen flat. While the game itself is undoubtedly in a better place than its botched early access launch in October 2022, Overwatch 2 is still plagued by over-monetization, toxic players at all rankings, and an uncertain future. Therefore, it is a hard sell to new players and anyone wanting to invest time in a game that requires skill refinement, like Overwatch.

For the amount of people thrown at this game, the Modern Warfare III campaign is incredibly lackluster. I understand I am in the minority by buying a Call of Duty game with a solid interest in the single player, but I feel like earlier iterations prove a single player experience in Call of Duty can be memorable and replayable, even if they are known for being linear compared to other shooters. The set pieces and challenges in prior campaigns were still enough to make something above the AAA standard. This campaign feels like its sense of scale and pacing is all over the place. Besides many of the "open" levels feeling like similar stealth pieces with little incentive to try other approaches such as guns blazing or otherwise, the reasoning behind sending a single soldier to fight entire armies alone (on multiple occasion) feels like a game limitation, rather than a stealth action movie stereotype. It just feels like single player Warzone.
