I've played this game so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much I dream about playing it in my sleep, dear christ the grinding for XP can be hellish by the time you're going for achievements BUT

BUT this is one game where I've made so many memories that were amazing and wonderful, and sometimes clutching a team mate and barely making it to the drop pod in time makes it absolutely worth it.

Will forever love this game during its highs and lows.

Rock and Stone!

Helldivers 2 Changed my life forever. I have made so many memories and friends through this game that it is unimaginable how my life would be without it having played it. It is one of my most played games on steam and despite the amount of fun, of joyous memories I've had...the moments I shared with people in discord calls, on open mic, I nearly damn well dropped the game in mid to late 2025 before this latest fix and optimization update.

I've been a diver since early February of 2024 when the war first started. I was one of the early people on the Creek, fought on Tien Kwan, I even was one of the few who made it to Merak when it was available and documented the fact it was exactly like Malevelon Creek. Since then almost bi daily I've played this game and poured so many hours into it because I loved everything about it...and for almost a year and a half I had my Steam Name as John Helldiver because I would brighten up peoples days whenever I'd drop in and do my best to boost morale or just make peoples days better.

I once hung up that name because after multiple potential PC damaging scares, I couldn't play this game without fear of my one and only means of being able to possibly make money and do more advanced tasks being destroyed. I could not in good faith play this game knowing that I could lose everything if something out of my control goes wrong. I thought those problems wouldn't be able to be fixed for a long time but, somehow Arrowhead Studios found a way and not only did they make the game more optimized and less of a risk to play on my PC, the enthusiasm I had for the game and the story behind it came roaring back to me.

I love this game and I said before in my previous negative review that I would change it to be positive when things turned around for the better. I'm proud to say as of the Eve of the Machinery of Oppression update, Helldivers 2 has earned back my trust.

After having seen this game for years throughout my childhood, it's honestly a really nice experience to play with friends or even on my own here.

This game is great for people who want a good action packed game and don't mind the low resolution graphics if it means better preformance. Though my laptop is pretty weak, the game runs smoothly, albeit with occasional lag spikes, but it's much more versatile and smoother to play than other games. I'd recommend for people who want a good game thats not too hardware intensive and a good cost.
