omg this game is amazing. I'm not entirely sure how to prepare someone for this game though. Its like... a visual/auditory art work examining what schitaphrenia looks like... set in a nordic mythical world.

Join Senua as she falls appart into her own darkness and battle her way to the light.

Highly approve. its an amazing work of art, great look into some dark places the mind can fall, and how to fight them.

Saying all that, i love the game, but i have yet to have the strength to finish it lol. I got stuck and would have to restart. This game helped me think through some of my own expiriances and fight them myself. Love this game.

I bought this for my daughter when she was 3y. she's a bit older and still loves it. Great game to encourage learning to type. Though, for under 5y its a bit rough on the storyline lol. (Has magic) Has a beautiful, nastalgic, style to the story telling. For someone with professional typing skills you can beat the game in a day or so. But to someone younger, learning to type correctly, it lasts a lot longer. the game scales the difficulty to the typer, if you type fast, it gets more difficult. if you keep failing it lightens the dificulty to assist. Tons of optional quests and puzzles, and a great all around game for 8-12y in my personall oppinion. I would have played this from 12-16y too for sure. Enjoy!

I love this game and play with my family a lot (spouse and under 12y child). Great graphics, cut mini stories, and a chill casual game in the rpg/ dnd type world. Go adventure and save the world, with friends. Have fun leveling up and gaining new skills.

The cutest lil chill game i've ever seen. i don't care if this is old or not i love it. As a hopeful game designer this is the style and chill level of games i've always wanted to make. If you like games similar to choose-your-own-adventure novels or interactive stories, this is a wonderful example.

i mean.. yeah i beat it in 8 hours or less. but its adorable. I played through it a 2nd time trying to get all the achievements. ;) oh, and there's about 3 sequals. Worth it.

So I've played this game over 100 hours. I love the game, the design, the idea... but its *very* abondoned. i wish they would sell it to some devs who actually care about it.

The building mechanics are very glitchy. enough that it can take days to figure out how to build something. The game is great besides the glitches. But the devs overpromised, underdelivered, burned out, and refuse to sell. Gorgeous game, love where it was going, but there are core systems that are broken and unable to be fixed by fans. I do not recommend buying this game to support these developers. It was such a lovely idea, and still a hole in the gaming world. But sadly, they will not fix it.

Early Access Review
I love this game and will come back to it for years. Its a nice city builder in the genre of Banished. Very sweet rustic style of a Europeon rustic village. Can play completely casual with raiders and hostile animals off, or challenging with disasters striking suddenly and having to defend your town against not only small invaders, but a large army if you so desire to annoy them. Very wonderful game - been with it since early beta.

I might be addicted to this game. i have come back to it about 4 times. i highly recommend running the campaign first and then just messing around. i almost with there were more campaign stories though as they added a bit of a story to the game.

just a forewarning though, this game is thought provoking and somewhat dark. It touches on a lot of the REAL LIFE ISSUES of prisons- the money verses the reform. I greatly enjoyed the dialogue and how it makes you think without any preaching. its a great game put together for people who enjoy simulators such as city builders. there is actually a tech tree and goals for every prison you play, as well as the freedom to turn almost all of those off and just mess around casually.

cute little casual city builder. its not very complex and you can earn most if not all the achievements in one playthrough, but i enjoyed every minute. also the low poly art of the game is so cute.

it has some remmenence of banished (as long as you use mods to make it easy) and the old civ games. but honestly, this game is not very challenging. But i think thats part of the draw. its not meant to be a super complicated game.

This game is a wonderful baseline for any city simulator. In fact, it has written the book on how to do it and many more current games are based on it. You have to manage several key resources quickly, and continuously for you towns people to survive. You have to manage the number of houses for them to continue having children for the next generation. And personally I love the style of the entire game.

cons: personally, there are a few things that irk me in the game. You cannot earn achievements with any mod enabled. I suppose this makes sense so people cannot cheat, but very annoying as 90% of mods are cosmetics. There is a plethera of cosmetic and minor change mods that make this game from baseline gameplay to absolutely amazing. I've seen colonial styles, japanese styles, even viking remodels of all the game ellements. There are game changing mods such as removing coal from houses forcing them to continue relying on firewood that is easily replaced/regrown.

I also personally dislike when games like this make things so terribly un-renewable. regardless of your oppinion on the subject, not being able to build on the old quarry ground, and the mine running dry in only 2 years is just insane to me and not at all realistic.

I still will play for a long time on this game, trying to achieve all those complicated achievements (so far about 300h and 0 of them earned- LOL), as well as just enjoying building dif styles of towns with a bunch of mods making it easier and more artsy to play.

I would still definately recommend buying this game, though its older, for anyone who enjoys city sims or town layout building games. This old gem ain't going anywhere for a long time :)
