Soul Reaver 1 did not require much improvement. Fresh coat of paint, no issues with game launching and stability, and we have a pretty decent game for modern standards.

I do have a huge problem with Soul Reaver 2 remaster though. It does not improve enough in my opinion.
Environments do not feature any meaningful visual upgrades (no new 3D models, dubious texture quality) and besides using new 3D models for main characters, some enemies and NPCs, the game does not look even decent.

Additionally, there are some new problems:
SR1 - there is a problem with Silenced Cathedral bell puzzle (may be game breaking if you do not know the solution beforehand), there is a problem with texture transparency (minor bug), night in the newly implemented day and night cycle is way too dark.

SR2 - missing assets in Wind Forge while using modern visuals (minor bug), night in the newly implemented day and night cycle is a little too dark.

All in all, these are still great games. Soul Reaver 1 benefits a lot from remastering, but the state of SR2 and bonus content do not justify the full price. I still recommend the games, but not for that price. Get it on a sale. I just wish there was an option for posting a neutral review.

Man, this game is ass. The gameplay is barely decent for a Metroidvania, but the characters are so repulsive I cannot even root for them. The animation is nice though.

Absolutely unfun to play. You just sprint for 3 minutes just to be teamkilled.

Amazingly designed and well polished exploration platformer with unique artstyle. I can't recommend it enough...

I enjoyed the game.

The game is poorly explained, tutorial does not explain core mechanics that well, access to important graphs is way too convoluted. The game is purely trial and error. The game does not even explain what you have done wrong. The game could use a well made campaign mode that would step-by-step explain all mechanics. As it is now, it's not worth playing.

I loved Final Fantasy Tactics on PS1. This is basically the same, but with lower budget.

Was a battle royale game, before it was cool.
