its incredibly bland. its not a terrible game but its far from a great game. not recommended.

the vr implimentation is terrible. dont bother, youll try for a few minutes, throw up, and refund it. yikes.

It hurts me to write this, but it might be worth the price tag (little over 10 bucks) but that doesnt make it a good game.

here's my qualms: it looks and plays like an action-rpg, but it has no functional role playing at all. you have 1 character (bird or dog, which function identically), with no upgrades, sidegrades, or changes. your player character will never change. the focus of the game is on making an NPC for others to play against. this is an interesting concept, but does anyone care? youre not playing as the npc so upgrading it feels unrewarding, uninteresting, and disconnected from the player.

as a metaphor, it feels a little like im farming equipment for someone else, so that they can use it. thats it. just farming more equipment for them. without any player-character progression it feels like youre just putting in the work for someone else to enjoy. the only spoils youll see from your npc winning are for the npc. yikes. it doesnt feel like progression.

this is straight up an early access title, with the fitting price tag but without the needed label, and i think it could hurt the game in the long run. without the early access tag applied people assume it is a finished product. the gameplay loops might be in place but theyre hardly worth your time.

sorry, i want to like this game but its just not happening. it certainly has some promise but on launch it feels like a flop, or maybe a flavor of the week if the devs get lucky.

Its weird. but its pretty good. if you like characters that are fleshed out and a decent story, its fun. the gameplay is good but doesnt hold a candle to transistor IMO. soundtrack is meh, but thats alright.

Fantastic. if you like space and building things this is absolutely worth it.

If youre hyper critical of gameplay and not of lore or story and youve been waiting for a "souls-like" to tick all your boxes since DS1 ITS HERE at last. "lords of the fallen" and "the surge" will weep.

the gameplay is a bit faster than souls, but thats ok because damage is typically higher for yourself and your enemies.

Exploration feels great and terrible at the same time because chances are you have no idea where you are at any given moment. that sounds like a bad thing but i really liked just pressing forward at all moments.

The story is overall very convoluted and a little lame right until the very end when it throws a wrench in the mix, while overall the story was mildly uninteresting the ending was satisfying. (and to me that is much more important as its the gameplay that drives the player forward)

There is much more to say but overall i would just plain ol' reccomend this to just about anyone who enjoyed ds1 and 3.

Get it!

The frost shiv is a very handy tool to have. Its not P2w, but it is very useful for staggering enemies. the shotty is ok and will carry you through a good chunk of the game if you want it to. Depending on the price it could be an ok pack to pick up.

Worth every penny. just get it and try it. Its like nothing youve ever played.

"co-op" but doesnt have split screen.

This wouldnt be much of an issue as its a common thing on pc but PS4 has split screen, pc doesnt.
