Dragons dogma looks better than DD1 but in nearly every other aspect its inferior to DD1. its tragic really.

It looks like dragons dogma, plays like dragons dogma, but doesnt feel like it. its missing a lot of things that was in DD1. so its a bit more polished than DD1 but lacks the soul. its a "good enough" game to be a "good game" but im just disappointed. dragons dogma deserved better.

elden is a good game. i would say its an excellent game. but its a huge step back from its predecessors.

I straight up love dark souls. dark souls 1 and 3 were fantastic and even though i really hated a lot of dark souls 2 it still was a fun time sometimes. i absolutely adored the world of dark souls.

this game is dark souls. its called elden ring but its not, its dark souls. it has the same bosses and weapons and enemies and spells, just with different skins on them. . it feels like they took all of their assets, reskinned them, put them into a a really big world and cashed out. they put a different name because dark souls 4 (if it were just like elden ring) would have really upset a lot of people.

the world is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WAY too big and not even half way through it became a slog. the most bosses (like 75%) are either not unique, repeated, or just a regualar enemy just amped up. it wasnt good in the predecessors and its not great now.

there are a lot of improvements to the "dark souls" formula but a lot if the good stuff is watered down and spread thin.

Im not really going to list all the little gripes that i have for this game but im going to just say, if you love something, its ok to provide critisism. and i think this game, while being a gem compared to other titles by other developers, is a step back from what they had in demon/dark souls.

great game. pretty fun, especially with a friend. theres a little jank here and there and it certainly shows that this was made by a small team, but its fun and entertaining.

its a glorified walking simulator. If you like that its not so bad. dont expect too much terms of gameplay. Its a little bit like reading a book but less interesting most of the time
