I genuinely struggle with whether or not to recommend this game. It's exactly what it promises, an armored core souls like, but easier and with anime girls. However that's also all it is, and it takes that easier very far. The late game bosses barely pose a challenge even with the most basic gear, and all of the weapons feel kind of awful in their own way. I think I'd tentatively still recommend it for just giving exactly the experience I wanted from it, but I just wish it had given more on top of that.

It's impressive how much a game that plays nothing like Fire Emblem manages to feel like Fire Emblem. Yet somehow, it's even more addicting, with the fact that even finishing a chapter keeps you in the same map to keep advancing your conquest and set up your defenses for the next army. It's a very compelling tactics game, with a cute romance story that could not be possibly be more in your face and explicit with its message.

I also really appreciate that there's an actual risk/reward to autoing your fights, since everyone will always normal attack, it means you're basically guaranteed to take damage, but you can avoid enemy nukes to keep yourself alive and/or deal some chip damage to set up a kill, while manually fighting lets you have more defensive and offensive options.

It's very much Metroid Fusion, in so many ways, and it's absolutely phenomenal for it. The story is incredibly cute and sweet, being very much about redemption and recovering from trauma, and the combination of your health and mana bars, meaning that your spells bring you closer to death but that you can always heal with a well timed auto reload or by hugging your teddy bear ghost results in some very interesting and rewarding combat. My only issue is that they toss out a lot of that system when you get the final armor. But I absolutely recommend it, and even the fights with that final armor are still great.

The difficulty balancing is all over the place and encounters will vary from quite easy to mindnumbingly difficult in the same area, but if you can get past that, it's the cutest metroidvania ever, with really enjoyable shmup gameplay and a fun story about marrying a hot demon four times your size, or fighting against the fossil fuel industry, whichever.

With how much I didn't like 7, I thought I just didn't like Resident Evil in first person, but I loved this game. It's largely a weaker 4, but it's also more 4 and 4 is fantastic, so I won't complain about that. Plus sexy vampires.

One of the greatest games ever made is now actually good. No longer do you have to force yourself through awful gameplay to explore an amazing world and story, instead you get great gameplay along with everything else being amazing, and it even looks nice too. Plus you can finally very briefly play as Kaine 20/10.

Lacks a few things that the original had, but is still all around an amazing game and a worthy successor to RE2's remake.

It's Mega Man Zero and ZX, what more is there to say? Some of the best Mega Man games there are and now they're on Steam.

While an odd Metroidvania, this is one of my favorite Souls styles games. I've enjoyed most of Skas other games, but the more exaggerated combat with a souls game is a great change of pace, and the world is fun to explore.

It's basically the perfect Castlevania game. If you're a fan of Symphony of the Night or Aria of Sorrow, then this is that, but a bit better, and in 2.5D. The game is incredibly fun, the music is phenomenal, it has well-designed bosses, lots of weapon options, and is up there as one of the best Metroidvania games I've played.
