edit* new update broke all the mods and a previous version should've been available from the start. rather than blindsiding mod authors and destroying mods that are no longer supported

orginal review: I love the game and would easily recommend this to anyone thats looking to get into fallout for the first time, While it is more of a shooter rather than the RPG that everyone expects. F4 shows you everything that the series can provide. I honestly love playing and making my own stories within the wasteland, RIP to the mods with the new update coming out. wish it could be avoided currently

A Modern Take on a Classic Concept - Carrier Command 2 Review

Rating: ★★★☆☆

Carrier Command 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the iconic video game franchise, offers a fresh perspective on commanding a futuristic aircraft carrier in an expansive archipelago. While it attempts to build upon the foundation of its predecessor, the game falls short in certain areas, leaving room for improvement.

One of the notable aspects of Carrier Command 2 is its improved graphics and visual design. The archipelago is beautifully rendered, with stunning environments, realistic water effects, and detailed island structures. The attention to detail creates an immersive setting that enhances the overall experience. Additionally, the user interface has been refined, making it more intuitive and easier to navigate, which is a welcome improvement.

In terms of gameplay, Carrier Command 2 introduces some new mechanics and features that add depth to the strategic elements. The game still revolves around capturing and controlling islands, managing resources, and engaging in tactical battles.

The combat itself has seen some improvements, with a wider variety of vehicles and weapons at your disposal. The battles can be thrilling, especially when you successfully coordinate attacks with your fleet and utilize different units to exploit enemy weaknesses. The tactical aspect of the game is where it shines, offering players the opportunity to plan and execute strategies to achieve victory.

However, Carrier Command 2 falls short in certain areas, most notably in the lack of significant innovation. While it refines some gameplay mechanics, the overall experience feels somewhat repetitive and fails to deliver groundbreaking features that could truly set it apart from its predecessor or other strategy games on the market. Additionally, the AI of both enemy and friendly units can be frustrating at times, leading to immersion-breaking moments and diminished enjoyment.

Furthermore, the game suffers from a lack of variety in mission objectives and a limited sense of progression. The missions can start to feel repetitive, and the campaign lacks a compelling narrative to drive player engagement. More diverse and unique objectives, as well as a more engaging storyline, would have greatly enhanced the overall experience.

Despite its shortcomings, Carrier Command 2 still offers an enjoyable strategic experience for fans of the franchise and newcomers alike. The captivating visuals, improved user interface, and tactical combat mechanics make it worth exploring, especially for players who appreciate the genre. With some further refinements and innovation, the franchise has the potential to reach greater heights in future installments.

Imma be 100% honest tho, i used chat gpt to write this review mainly because im too not smart to write a thrilling review

Honestly, while the sentiment of my last review stands true. however i think the official release was a major rocky start. I could barely run the game without crashing every few minutes (possible user error) but with a couple updates that shouldve been released WAY quicker, RoN has quickly became a favorite again due to performance being stable
