By far Verdun is the most immersive Great War FPS that I have ever experienced and I would heavily encourage anyone to buy it.

The development team have put countless hours into making sure that every small detail is covered with it supplying the player with some of the most realistic gameplay you would find centred around the early 20th Century.

Squad play is incredibly enjoyable, with each member of the squad having his own specialised role that contributes to overcoming the enemy in a diverse range of strategy that can be used to capture the front line. in turn making it a great game to play with friends.

The maps within are beautiful with them accurately recreating what the scenery would of looked like upon the many theatres of the western front.

You really get the sense of being a frontline soldier within the Great War who has been sent into the meat grinder that was the western front with little hope of survival.

Honestly after putting countless hours into the game I can say it has been one of the most fun experiences within my time playing video games. but sadly when the game hit its peak around a year ago the strive too continue development of the game dramatically slowed down, and throughout most of 2019 the games popularity became heavily dependant on the playerbase that existed within it.

I myself took a break from the game for quite a while, both because of my own personal matters I had too attend too as well as the repetitiveness of the gameplay itself, there's only so many times the same jokes can be repeated between players before it wears down on you. Now after a year of inactivity from the development team they have finally released Megapatch 2, and I believe if they continue this trend with updating the game like they used too (even though the development team has shrunken from my own knowledge) this game will have a long lifespan too come.

I personally moderate a server group within the game and honestly I have never experienced a community that is so close, I have made MANY friends playing this game and it is very easy to hop on one of your favourite servers and have a diverse range of faces you recognise and enjoy interacting with.

I would heavily recommend downloading this game and playing with friends, as it is free and made on the unity engine it is very easy to access even with low-end computers that some may have, I also recommend playing the game without any third party vocal communications such as teamspeak and discord, as it tends too dampen the enjoyability of the gameplay itself overtime, in-game speech is the best thing this game has too offer and it really changes the way you experience the gameplay itself.
