Yeah, the extreme nationalist / patriotic sentiment can definitely end badly - China, Russia, N. Korea are prime examples - and the U.S. too to a degree.
Although, that same attitude can be present in globalist / internationalist attitudes too. Population control is a good example; outright genocide can be condoned simply for 'the greater good'.
I think a common denominator for both problems is the manipulation of people by governments. Any extreme can be bad. Personally, I think people should be *responsibly* patriotic to whatever country they live in, otherwise they simply won't care to improve it. But again, taken to the extreme doesn't end well.

there is a big reason why i do not condone nationalism or patriotism! it is because either or both grant people the ability to commit atrocities, think little of them and play them off as unfortunate but "necessary" things, or to sum that up concisely with a rather disgusting sayings "it was for the best interest of our country" "it had to be done to keep our freedom" "they were a threat to our way of life" etc. the mental gymnastics capabilities of people who commit themselves to such petty, fruitless and damaging endeavours is absolutely astounding to me!

there are only two types of bombs developed that have the primary effect of an explosion, one the conventional bombs that really only have explosives, and two the unconventional nuclear bombs, that you well know what they use. i very well agree with what you said, which is the largest reason why i believe our self-destruction is less a question of "will it happen" and more of "when"! you have seen it right? putin flagrantly using it as a threat, as if it is the most light hearted thing ever, it really only servers to further solidify those thoughts!

I can agree with the sentiment against nuclear weapons, but the reality is that they're here and here to stay. We can have all sorts of "disarmament agreements", but the ones who really should not have them are not going to uphold/obey the disarmament agreement anyway; so the best case scenario is for the 'good' countries (those with semblance of morals and law/order) to keep their arms b/c there will always be another Stalin, Mao or Hitler at some point, and if they have nuclear weapons (and they likely will) and the rest don't, we can kiss everything goodbye.

It is more the creation of the nuclear bomb that is the largest issue, by making such a weapon it casts a major power destabilization that forces others to seek the same technology to preserve their interests. Then M.A.D. comes in, there a bunch of bullies on the playground vying for power and dominance, however because of the threat no one is willing to make the first swing and kick off a fight, and end up getting everyone in said playground in trouble because of the aftermath! Thus, the whole world regardless of stance are always held hostage to the systematic destruction of the earth!

There is a reason that I did not mention, it comes down to our survival as a species, as well as all of the countless others put in jeopardy. Thing is a bomb of that type has only one use, as well as far worse consequences that follow the use, I have thought of a use for conventional Bombs that does not involve killing and wanton destruction. A use that would do well in helping to preserve infrastructure, homes etc from destruction and costing billions in repairs and rebuilding. Not all bombs are only useful when the destruction of lives are the main goal, there are uses that have the potential to work in the other direction!

I'm not so sure if the atomic bombs were appropriate or not. The Japanese cities were warned by US via leaflets to leave the city prior to the blasts, but the Japanese military forcibly prevented civilians from leaving (those who did flee were executed, iirc).
Plus, the Japanese culture was warrior-like in the sense that losing or surrendering was the greatest dishonor; which meant a horrendous, very long, ground war would have occurred if Allies had boots on ground in Japan mainland. I'm of the opinion the bombs broke Japan's spirit to fight and it did save lives.

But since Japan did surrender, we can't compare those losses to the losses of an actual ground war (if it did happen) in Japan mainland, so lots of speculation from both sides of the argument.

As I said, very well like a broken record. Listen bud, I do not have any interest in wasting my time further, however, I also do not wish to feel like a jerk by having to block you to avoid wasting said time. But as I said, once it is gone you can not get it back! I did enjoy our lengthy conversations on the bible, however I do not associate with people who prefer false information spoken by mouth over what is actually written, and who choose to be blind to its word! As it says at 2 Timothy 3:5 “having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.”, I am choosing to do so in the in the fashion of the words of Solomon at Proverbs 22:3 “The shrewd one sees the danger and conceals himself, But the inexperienced keep right on going and suffer the consequences.”

Jesus didn't learn you to argue about the word of God. Nothing about my text condradicts or does not tell the truth. If you want the answer and the truth, all you have to do is to go through Jesus Christ the Son of God. As you already know: He is the way, He is the truth and He is the life. There is no other way to Heaven except through Jesus Christ. So who do I need to live in truth? Who do I need to receive life? Who is truly the way? Jesus!

i see things that contradict what i have seen read and that i have pondered on many times when it comes to the teachings about heaven and hell that do not correlate with how God is said to be a God "of love", but yet even though it says at James 1:13 "for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man" and yet he sends the ones who are bad to be tortured with no end. then there is the part where God gives the very person who slandered and lied about him and his name, a job in a business that does 'evil' things to people. once again calling himself loving, kind etc. if god can not be tried with evil, then why does he institute it to begin with? that itself is slander against god!

"The Father and I are one.”" taking it a bit to literally there, the bible say about marriage at Genesis 2:24 "That is why a man will leave his father and his mother and he will stick to his wife, and they will become one flesh." but, that does not mean they literally become like that. also, you left out verse 29 "My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and my Father are one.", so ya, not god, thing is, the word 'God' is not a name, it is a title that you can apply to literally anything! and is a meaningless word without a noun to associate it with, like king, president etc.

in genesis 2:7 it disproves the teaching about 'having souls' there it says "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.". this is from the KJV and if you read the last line it says "became a living soul" meaning he is a soul. thus when you die, everything you are perishes.

not really arguing, more trying to show the cracks and fallacies in the teachings that are untrue and are claimed to be from the bible, for example "He is truly The One True God manifested in flesh" how can he be the true god when it says this "to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.", it says ""and" Jesus Christ" in the scripture you quoted? also, if he is god, then why would he pray to himself for help on multiple occasions? another thing, who "sent" him if he did not send himself? anyway, i did not really come out of nowhere, i was perusing my friends profile on a whim and saw you left a message on it, then i ended up perusing your account, from then ended up seeing your guide, read it, saw a lot of umbilical teachings. so i wanted to try and help correct them. well researched and fleshed out details are important! and the thing is, hell is more the common grave, there is no pain without life.

I am not sure about your point you are trying to make and it feels very arguing that you popped out of nowhere finding a text about Heaven not legit. Heaven is a place and so is Hell.

I am not gonna tell you my story right now, but I was truly a lost person without hope, but now I found hope in Jesus and He is my Anchor. He is truly The One True God manifested in flesh. He came with Grace and Truth, while Moses came with the law.

Beleive in Jesus and what He did for you and me. That is enough. Just by that you will inherit eternal life already. Ofc we need to seek learn and know Him more and more, but that is a part of walking the path with Him.

The death couldn't hold Him and the same resurrection power that raised Him from the dead, lives now in me.

And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.

prove me wrong, go through the bible and use 'it' to prove that all good people go to heaven. provide the evidence concisely and most importantly without any contradictions from other scriptures.

i do not mean to be rude saying this, but, 'personal interpretations' of pretty much anything, mean nothing it they are not thoroughly researched and in a way that sticks to what is being examined! for example, lots of people say that you fall down if you jump up or off something, however i personally believe that if i jump that the direction is up (just a joke of course). my friend, my bible says the same things, maybe not in outdated language, but it does, all bibles that try to stick closely to the original scriptures do!

indeed, i most certainly am a JW born raised and baptised. i never said you or me are perfect in any way, however, it is very important that we with imperfection do not make claims against anything without proper citation of information! do scientists make claims of somethings truth with no proof or basis at all to begin with? and if they do have a basis for what they 'think' then is it not of the utmost importance to flesh it out as thoroughly as possible so there are no holes or things to have any ambiguity about?

I am not here to say I am perfect or completely without any flaws or a sin free person, but I hate sin, and I will always do. I truly want to live for the truth and what is right and pleasing to Him. Sometimes that ain't easy, because we have weakness and flaws and other factors may confused or disrupt us somehow. But look to Jesus and what He did for me and you and everybody on this planet. He took the punish we all deserved. He died once and for all. He came to save us. He paid a high price to die for our sin on that cross. He had to bleed for many many hours on that cross, just because of a sinfull world. I know this today, but I didn't knew I was a sinner that needed grace before I truly wanted a change in my life and had to repent and start believe in Him, Jesus Christ.

I sense some similar teaching that Jehovah witness have, but I don't know if you are under influence of them or not.
