What a game, it makes me cry every single time I come back to it. This definitely earns my Labour of Love nomination for the 2020 Steam Awards.

Quite possibly the most intriguing story in a Half-Life game that gets more engaging as you progress.

Jeff is great.

Aaahahhahahaaaaaa

Russels and Russel are great.

End, play if you can.

I gotta say, this is a game about robots. Robots and Gundams and Bugs. Now, let me speak the truth. This game is not for you. It is for me, who prefers Katherine over Catherine.

The Escapists is the full version of the test gamemode in the series' previous game, Prison Architect. This game puts much more emphasis on the creation of an escape, rather than the creation of a prison. It isn't as well polished, but what it lacks in AI it makes up for in the character creation, where you get to choose from presets such as Obama, Bluebeard - the not pirate with a blueberry addiction -, Tyrone, Sample and many more. The creation of your character is followed by a name change option, where you can make anyone any name you want, even the guards! The guards have the word "Officer" by default in their name always, which, if you have played this game before, you probably were mislead by, and so ended up calling your officer "Officer Officer Pet-" and then realise something isn't right as you ran out of space to write.

The game is fun, but everyone acts like they wanna escape, whether you're starting off in the early game easy prisons with low security, mid-game where you are for some reason taken to a harsh Russian snow prison or the late game maximum security prisons. Not just this, but it is quick to note that 99% of all favours asked for by other prisoners are to beat someone up, which really makes you wonder why the ♥♥♥♥ you'd do such a thing.

Seriously though it's really counter-intuitive. This game is actually annoying to play after some time, as it just ends up being a grind.

Holy ♥♥♥♥ I started off saying I was gonna recommend this game, but now I'm hating it.

Hang on let me check through my files and such...no not that...oh God no...um...well....

OH! The music! It's good! Um...now what...huh....

*Leaves desk and goes downstairs to ponder on what to say next.*

*My wife walks in* Honey...are you okay?

*I sigh* No...no I'm not honey...I decided to recommend this game on Steam...now I've realised it's not as good as everyone says it is...I mean yeah it's good...just...not that good.

*My wife smiles* Shall I write it for you?

*I look up at her* Wife...I'm 15...I can handle this myself.... *I pause and think cautiously, forwards* Wait...I'm...15.... *The penny drops as I turn to face her once more* I don't have a wi-. *I am interrupted by the lack of a figure behind me, instead there's an empty space with a note on the far wall. Feeling afraid, I breathe deeply inwards, then with the exhale of my lungs I gain the courage to traverse towards the note, until I am able to read it clearly.*

*The note is read* "Good game design and mechanics for when you do escape, and it is rewarding when you finally escape a prison, getting more and more great in feeling each time."

*My eyes widen. I peel the note hastily off the wall, and ascend up the stairs of my home once more, where I run impatiently to my desk and type up the words that will save me.*

The game's design and mechanics of escaping are pretty cool I guess, 8/10.

Half-Life 2: Episode Two is a good game with an interesting story with an interesting array of anime characters. It kicks you right where you left off at the end of Counter Strike: Condition Zero at the end of the singleplayer campaign, you have to come face to face with these large brown tripod-esque creatures called spiders, and their house-invading minions. Though that is only the tip of the amazing and tearjerking iceberg which is the story, featuring an amazing voice cast of Ellen Mcclain, GLaDOS, Winston from Overwatch, Dr. Henry Jekyll and of course Edgar Allen Poe, who did an outstanding job voicing the game's protagonist, Chell Freeman.

Overall the game is very good and I highly recommend it for the space battle at the near-end game, which has gone down as the best fight in video game history which beat the game's own previous title, Bioshock's ending.

9/10, awaiting conclusion DLC still after 12 years.

It's okay.

This game is alright, but that doesn't mean it is recommended. First of all, the game at this price seems a bit too much, it feels that this game could be more enjoyable if it was free. Most of the game is good, but I feel it would be more acceptable to be free. There are many parts in this game which are seen to me as repetitive, too much "defend yourself while the enemy arrives from multiple entryways". Plot-wise, this game is lacking. The story is told that you must help Gordon Freeman in Nova Prospekt, which seems pretty good. The rest of the story is seen through blue and trippy Black Mesa "flashbacks". Then the Nova Prospekt idea is thrown out the window, as it is revealed you were sent...to space? Yeah, a bit weird. All in all, the game is once again, okay. Worth the price? No. Good plot? No. Does it look nice? For the source engine, sure. Music? Pretty average, some tracks are good. Basically, the points cancel each other out in my opinion.

I will say though, at least he did it for his nan. Apologies towards him for her passing.

Let's talk, Payday 2. What started off as one of the most successful games at release for an "independant" developer, this being Overkill studios (who are technically not independant, so there).

Jesus Christ they changed the skills tree now this is fun to play again unless you play with AI.

As of now, there are many "Mission types" you can find from different people, for example, the dentist offers large-scale heists which require thorough planning and Bain himself offers more basic heists (such as banks) though sometimes there is a break to this rule of the game, such as the First World Bank by Bain.

When you arrive in the game for the first time, especially if you didn't buy the game of the year edition, you'll find most of the content is behind a DLC paywall, it's there...but requires payment. Some items are things unnecessary to have fun in the game, such as the Clover character pack, but others are just flat-out annoying, such as one of the biggest heists in the game, the Golden Grin Casino Heist, being put behind a paywall.

Originally, at least from what I have seen back in Payday: The Heist, Overkill Software (responsible for developing this game) were very into keeping the Payday community happy. When Payday 2 arrived, they promised "No micro-transactions" and "frequent updates". While I am upset with the DLC still, recently micro-transactions have been eradicated for 95% of the game, the only ones left are unsupported now.

The safes are now free.

Also, the console ports are ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Bottom line, is the game worth it? AI = No, Gameplay = Yes, DLC paywalls = NO, Graphics = Well, nice in some places and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in others. Many mods have tried to make certain playermodel faces more realistic, such as Jacket and Jo- ANYWAY! 1 Yes, 2 No, 1 most likely no. Basically, buy in the sale, but still alright.

I hate to be the hater in this scenario, but unfortunately this game just is bad in some cases. While the game has a good concept, it suffers greatly from the multiplayer side of the game, which involves crashes and bad connections in lobbies.

Sorry, but this game is not worth purchasing at full price, if you wish to take this piss out of it or something I recommend getting it while the price is so...so low.
