So I had Mahou Arms on my wishlist ever since it was released and it finally dropped to a reasonable price during the last sale. The music and artstyle is beautiful, but the gameplay currently is meh. The combat is just a painful chore to do. In normal difficulty, the enemies are bullet sponges, especially those tall swordwielders in Chapter 4 where it took me 10 minutes just to get through that one room. The Chapter 4 boss doesn't feel like it was playtested at all, Amelia's attacks deals very small damage even when switching the difficulty to the easiest setting. I never finished it and uninstalled. I also replayed the first 2 chapters as Susan but it took longer because she deals less damage compared to Amelia. One suggestion I thought about for the devs is to add a leveling system or ranged attacks so that combat will feel fun.

If steam has a neutral rating option, I would give this game one. Also, only buy it on sale. Not a lot of content for its usual price and doing everything the game provides will take maybe around 4-5 hours. Looking forward for more updates.

Pretty fun game to play during breaks. I kept this game still installed on my desktop when I have time to kill.
