I highly recommend Wreckfest if you enjoy carmageddon-type racing games.

There is a Single player which is fun and has a few special unlocks for you if you complete it (Cars, Paints etc) but If Multiplayer Racing is your jam you can jump right in on some C-Class only servers, race and gain Xp/Cash that way to upgrade your cars.

If you also want to jump right in and own alot of the cars/upgrades there is a Steam Workshop mod called "Free Market" that heavily reduces (and in some cases makes free) Cars & Parts.
