Could've been a great game, alas, practically no fixes have been introduced since the demo came out around 4 months ago.
It's the 4th time in a couple of hours it got bugged at random times for me, and the last 2 times was really the last straw when I was trying to solve the chessboard cryptex puzzle.
Man, I had to rerun it 2 times in a row and each time it'd get bugged with the bug being me unable to press any of the chess figures anymore without the cryptex opening as it should...
Like how is this even released in such an undercooked state?
I even made sure that the puzzle has been solved correctly via plenty of official and random YT guides, and it really was, but it just won't open for whatever reason.
And I'm unable to neither navigate through, nor close the inventory.
On top of that, when you assemble your first ranged weapon (the nailgun), the picture on the wall suggests you use the Xbox layout despite the fact that it claims that it supposedly has full support of DualSense, so why is that the visual representation purposefully imposes an Xbox controller?
Like, it's not a big inconvenience if you're used to that layout, but for people like me who never owned an Xbox controller it's actually some real pain in the arse.
But that's not a big deal compared to all those bugs.
I'm practically softlocked out of progressing further in the game, and restarting it or even reinstalling it makes no difference.
There's another major inconvenience that makes this game feel like it was undercooked by a wannabe Gordon Ramsey's kitchen nightmare off-spring who was dubbed Bella Ramsey and self-inserted herself in yet another failure of a show, and I'm talking about, of course, the left stick controls.
My God, does it feel wonky af, as if whenever the camera angle shifts you literally get pushed by some invisible forces to turn your way nearly the opposite direction, more like randomly between 90 and 180 degrees, which makes you prone to not only unwanted movement and waste of time but potentially getting hit by a random-arse creepy wonkah, which in case of having low health is fatal.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to recommend it, but it's just RAAAAW!
Lol, another thing is I can't even refund it (thank you Steam policies) because I spent more time in the game trying to fight a fight that cannot be fought as it's a downright uncontrollable instance of softlock that has practically zero explanation or fix other than waiting till this poorly-coded wankstain gets patched.

10 Gordon Ramsey ragebaits outta 10, made me smoke 10 packs at once, would recommend playing it if you enjoy having a bad time :)

UPD: 2 months in - it still softlocking you out of progress.. Great devs lol

Never mess with Lo(L) Wang!

Not a complete remake of the original game:
I've expected the game to go the same way as the original, but with "Shadow Warrior"(2013), the only things that left the same are plot and the world.

About the game:
  • - Wanted some old school? There it is. Shadow Warrior is clearly one of those rare representatives of classic old school I'd say First Person Slasher games(not shooters, you have to play to understand why it feels so much like it). It doesn't feel like the original game at all where the gameplay was aimed on shooting.

  • - Lo Wang, as in the original game - a great fan of scatological humour and he leaves not even a single notable action without another amusing comment. His... Let's call him "mate", the demon Hoji, also doesn't try to stay away and look into his pocket for some low words. He jokes around pretty much, but however, prefers to make fun of Lo himself.

  • - As a demon slayer, you gain experience and improve your skills, finding crystals gives you some new tricks. Among active-aggressive abilities aimed for combat, there are also some passive, defensive abilities. Performing those special moves is sufficiently simple: you don't have to take three-step chords on the keyboard.

  • - Your Katana here is the main tool for interaction with demons. It feels almost as good as it feels in "Dark Messiah of Might & Magic", but the process of handling it is much easier. Left click - quick and simple attacks, right click - performs slow and heavy ones. The direction of the attacks is always random, so the process of cutting enemies turns into a simple clicking without thinking until you get some upgrades.

  • - Firearms - big classic guns with nothing really interesting behind: a pistol, a submachine gun, a shotgun, a crossbow, a flamethrower and, of course, a rocket launcher. Unfortunately, they sound and feel bad so I forced myself to get all achievements based on shooting to achieve as fast as possible.
Your guns can be upgraded for the money you constantly find in the game. Each gun can have an increased clip and fire power, and also you can open an alternate fire mode. There's not much of a use for any of them until you cap the upgrade limit of each one to feel some real benefit in combat. In any other situation, it's enough to have a double-barrel shotgun.

  • - Despite various hilarious ways of slaying enemies all round, it's better to play not more than a few hours a day, because a single playthrough stretches for a good couple of tens of hours of grind lacking variability.
More and more enemies are descending upon your noggin with a total lack of interesting twists, so the game just says - please, entertain yourself somehow, will ya?

  • - Level design, despite the nice picture, causes some kind of depression. At first, your eyes are pleased by the bamboo groves and traditional architecture, but the further you progress, the more time you have to spend on giant half-empty squares and in classical endless corridors, where you can easily get lost and die of boredom. The Japanese colours gradually evaporate. Instead of bamboo groves there come warehouses and some trading ports, littered with the tons of twin-boxes

  • - What is really good is that secrets and Easter eggs are literally on every corner, and it's not hard to find them at all. Most of them you probably will find absolutely randomly. Connoisseurs of the original who used to the branched level design and well-hidden caches will be somewhat disappointed...

    Pros & Cons:

    • Pros:
      + (Katana feels very good);
      + (Humour that Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes would appreciate);
      + (Many easter eggs to the original game and some previous projects of devs);
+ (Different and very useful skills).

    • Cons:
      - (More and more monotonous levels throughout game progress);
      - (Barely interesting custscenes);
      - (Terrible and basically useless firearms);
      - (Easy bosses);
      - (Terrible controller support, extremely uncomfortable to play);
      - (Demons look absolutely lame).

    Result:
    Aspects:
    Score:
    Atmosphere
8.0 - Old school, insanity, blood, demons and rivers of blood - feels good.
    Graphics
7.0 - True old school mixed up with Japaneese culture that is eyecatching for the first 5-6 hours maybe.
    Optimisation
7.5 - Good, but having some texture bugs + lagging sometimes, even with an overpowered GPU.
    Sound
8.5 - Very good, fits the atmosph.
    Animations
8.0 - Funny, silly and adorable, all thanks to Katana performing.
    Story
5.5 - Absolutely meh, only the jokes didn't ruin it for me.
    Gameplay
    8.0 - I'd say it's 10.0 But - 2 for shooting, boring and useless.
    Replayability
    7.5 - 2-3 times a year is considered a pretty good replayability.
    Total
    7.5 - Definitely worth a shot.

    Afterwords:

    - Shadow Warrior is recommended(not strongly though) for those who fell in love with such games as Painkiller, Shadow of the Damned and Serious Sam for their crazy atmosphere of pure insanity, stylistics, fast-paced traversal whilst slaying hostile NPCs listening to some lame jokes the protagonist flows up with.
    - If you're looking straight for the game to chill and have some fun, that's what definitely will suit your needs. But I wouldn't say it's worth its price and wait for another discount.

Life is Pain...

There are not so many games about ordinary people living the usual life. Life is Strange - allows us to enjoy such a rare interactive everyday life, showing it incredibly bright and lively, and then shifts focus in the direction of action and supernatural that ends on a minor note.

Experience the other life:

  • - Life is Strange has absorbed the best finds of the plot games of recent times, and at first it seemed that it could seriously claim the laurels of the game of the year. Everything in it is good: the gameplay and the plot were closely intertwined, the scenes were perfectly set, the soundtrack perfectly combined with the passing away youth theme, the opportunity to unwind the time back did not relieve the burden of responsibility for the decisions made, and even the episodic structure made it necessary to stop and think over the choices made (And probably discuss it with friends, but that's quite personal).

  • - From the very first minutes, the game bribes with utmost sincerity and attention to details: Max, our protagonist, comments on every little thing about which one can at least say something, pours a soul into a diary that allows us to deeply experience all of her emotions. The other characters were revealed through communication and other kinds of interaction with her. Max is much more like a living person than the vast majority of game protagonists in most games: she has her own circle of contacts, her tastes, and passions, her memories, and regrets, her leisure and dreams about the future.

  • - With regard to showing everyday stories in games, Life is Strange has set a new high standard, which should be taken as an example for both new developers and already experienced ones. However, the touching teenage drama of LiS is not limited, it contains a place for both mysticism and detective. Alas.

So what's wrong?

  • - The director of the game, Jean-Maxime Maurice, calls Danganronpa's dilogy among his favourite games, but there's no detective line in the detective line stretched out for a good half of Life is Strange, and there's not much of intrigue that permeates every chapter of the visual novel from Spike Chunsoft. I personally find it completely wrong because the game asks to pay attention to details as a whole and those details should be extremely valuable if it pretends to be detective oriented, it's what "Detective" genre about, and if you put it as one of the most valuable features of the game, then it has to be at least decent enough. But there're no traces of ambiguity, raisins, nothing that would justify its existence, so shouldn't have been mentioned as a game feature, since its potential kept unrevealed throughout the game.

  • - By the middle of the game, it almost completely replaces the magnificent interactive everyday life, which bribed from the beginning. And in the last episode, when this line comes to an end, the mystical, compelling heroine comes out to make a difficult, but still a binary choice of ending.
Your choice matters?
Might be a bit of a spoiler:
  • -In the final episode, obviously, having decided that there are few directions for the plot development, the developers add the fourth one that's pulling Max out of reality and immersing her in an overly prolonged nightmare.
  • -I'm ready to scold the final of the game for hours, my disappointment is almost as strong as the excitement experienced at the first acquaintance with the game. Throughout the first four episodes, LiS hung a whole arsenal on the walls to shoot players' feelings - and in the end just forgot about them. All the hints, all the hanging storylines, all the lovingly built relationships with the characters - all Max decisions made no sense in the end.
  • -In the end, the girl is faced with two options to choose, each of which erases everything achieved before. And both endings are outrageously short and empty. Monsieur Maurice believes that the same final for all is good. But I'm convinced that for a game with such an emphasis on a personal choice and its consequences - it's absolutely unacceptable and that we absolutely didn't need another Mass Effect 3. But we got it.

Pros & Cons:

  • Pros:
    + (Stunning work of artists, directors and sound engineers);
    + (Incredible attention to the characteristics of the characters);
+ (Warm and sincere first half of the game).

  • Cons:
    - (The game tries to be all at once, and it does not work);
    - (Useless detective line);
    - (Weak and predictable outcome).

Result:
Aspects:
Score:
Atmosphere
10 - Strong atmosphere of a hard teen's life who faces unusual aftermath on the way.
Graphics
8.5 - There's nothing to say, it's just pleasant.
Optimisation
10 - Everything is good here, no questions.
Sound
10 - Soundtrack is great, loved it so much that even spared a few weeks to learn the guitar main theme.
Animations
7.5 - Nothing special, many details as in other interactive movies.
Story
8.0 - Everything is great except for both endings. A big disappointment, unfortunately.
Gameplay
9.5 - Much more enjoyable than most of its genre, made me want to click absolutely everything I see.
Replayability
7.0 - 2 times maximum, because once you find out the story ends up poorly in 2 different ways, you probably won't ever back to the game.
Total
8.5 - Even with all the questions to the game I personally have, I still find it one of the greatest storytelling and enjoyable experience, so I strongly recommend you to lower your expectations and play it at least once.

Afterwords:

- Life is Strange is very likely to disappoint you in the final - but this isn't a reason to skip the game away. This's one of the few games in which close attention is paid not to heroism, but to ordinary people, and it is worth appreciation, even only for that.
- It's also interesting that both detective and paranormal storylines are very linear in terms of gameplay. This, on the one hand, is natural (the mystery of the disappearance of the local Laura Palmer has only one solution, and the impending tornado does not leave much room for improvisation), on the other hand, it is too close to the movie.
- Nevertheless, when Life is Strange releases the protagonist to freedom, allows you to examine and comment on every detail of the environment, talk with other characters and make a decision, it seems to be a new standard for the entire genre of interactive drama, a standard that should be used as a guide by all subsequent games, developing in this direction.

You were asking for a hardcore game? Well then, prepare to suffer - "Prepare to Die". again and again:

Please, make sure you've read this review to the end before you decide if it was helpful or not, thanks in advance.

All "Souls" games(including "Demon's Souls") and its spin-off/side project "Bloodborne" are not about joy and fun, it's all about the pure challenge, self-control, patience, knowledge, tactics, tricks and perfect timing.
And if you're unable to keep playing the game where you die probably more than a few hundred times during fights before you get a clue of what happens around, then simply put it aside, because you will die. A lot. It's inevitably. To spare your nerves or test - the decision is all yours.

It was my first experience in "Souls" games, so I was completely unprepared for the in-game content.
I must admit, it was quite a challenge...
I was delaying this review for so long and decided to share my opinion only after 14 playthroughs on steam, not to mention PS3.

Let's sort out some aspects:

  • Plot:
    - I don't really have much to say exactly about that, because I don't want to bring spoilers to you people, but all I can say then is that it's one of my favourite thing to learn the story through observing and paying attention to details. I remember my first playthroughs and how happy I was becoming each time finding a new piece of the story. I literally had a big smile and was repeating "yes!" aloud, same goes for quiet "yes!" at night time which was extremely hard for me to keep quiet... But that doesn't really matter.

  • Artificial Intelligence:
    - Enemies are sick, they are smart and tactical, they use different attacks when you don't expect them to do, they don't let you heal yourself that easily, so sometimes retreat is the only option to stay alive. There are some enemies that can be as hard as some bosses and it will take the max of your skills and knowledge to pass through them. Hostile NPCs adaptation is impressive, sometimes it feels like they aren't NPCs at all. Of course, within more and more playthroughs it's getting easier and easier, but I still have problems with some common enemies and bosses even after multiple completions. It just never feels bad to start this game again due to that, you can always face a challenge and I love it.

  • Atmosphere, sounds and music:
    - What I always pay attention to in every single game I play is a soundtrack. There are some games that can be rated much higher only for their amazing soundtrack, and I call the whole "Souls" series, because they always fit, without a doubt. Inspiring epic music, every time you fight a boss it feels like you're a superhero in their hardest times fighting the worst enemy of all times.
    - Sounds fit in perfectly, everything from a direct hit of any weapon to terrific screams of the scariest bosses.
    - The atmosphere makes you nervous and vigilant, you start to expect an ambush from every single corner because you literally are afraid to die in this game and lose all the souls you keep. Locations look great and even poor graphics can't ruin the feeling of the realism this game drop you in, it feels natural.

  • Gameplay & Controls:
    - Clumsy and slightly crooked controls with twitching camera, but you get used to it. Treat with care even the weakest enemy as it should be approached responsibly because even the frailest zombie can make you nervous. And if there are several opponents, then get ready to sweat pretty hard. Get some clothes to change and a cold drink to prevent thyself explosion. Always dance with your enemy, learn as many moves of theirs as you can, it will help you to face and avoid many unexpected tricky twists. Every type of weapon has its unique attacks, learn some of them before you try your new weapons in a fight, it takes some time to get used to all of them and learn the timing your character performs attacks with. A keyboard, mouse and camera are your 3 worst enemies though, so I suggest for new people to use a controller for this game. If you don't believe me, then you'll find it on your own later. I'm myself cried a river thinking I can handle it. Well, happens.

  • Bosses:
    - Surely deserves separate topic - they scare with their huge sizes, lethality and incredible vitality. Sometimes they seem invincible, and after several attempts to fight them and a series of failures, there is some feeling of despair, from which you want to get out of the game and no longer come back here. However, it is only necessary to find your own approach to defeating the boss, and here it is - a light sigh or a crazy loud shout.

    Result:
    Aspects:
    Score:
    Atmosphere
10 - It is darkness as it is, it is dusty around as there is no life, it is as evil as good and as good as evil. It is death everywhere and you feel it.
    Graphics
6.5 - Textures have a lack of polygons, it looks poor for AAA-class release of 2012.
    Optimisation
4.0 - The port itself is bad and at first seemed like it was barely tested, but then I'm used to it.
    Sound
10 - Epic, I have no questions for music, it's definitely what I like about all "Souls" games.
    Animations
10 - So many animations, so much work has been done. Apperciated.
    Artificial Int
10 - NPCs are smart as hell, made me run a lot... Probably more than I run IRL being an athlete.
    Story
10 - Lore is gorgeous and interesting, After so many playthroughs I kept finding something new and I like it.
    Gameplay
9 - The gameplay itself is great, but port is bad, so many issues occured that it nearly ruined the game for me at the beginning, but DSfix helped.
    Replayability
    10 - New Game+, New Game+, New Game+,... ---> Asylum.
    Total
8.5 - One of the hardest games I've ever tried in my life(Bloodborne was harder for me). Enjoyed and would die again and again.

    Afterwords:
    - The game originally came out on consoles and the developers didn't plan its release on PC. But the submitted petition that collected over 100 thousand signatures made it real.
    - The development team immediately reported that they have no experience in porting games from one platform to another, so they expected inevitable problems. Just make sure you've installed DSfix mod or all those poor port problems with resolution, graphics and controls will make you leave this game long before you open its charm.
    - This game brought me into an absolutely different world and all my further gaming has changed forever as I've started to hunt the achievements since then in nearly every game I played and still play.
    - Thanks to this game I've become even more patient person, being already patient. Learned to endure the pain on the internet, also helped to care less about many things that aren't worthy to pay attention to.
    - I sincerely grateful to "From Software" and Hidetaka Miyazaki for bringing this project to life. It feels like there's no game I can't handle now, even on its highest difficulty.

And of course I've to say that, - "Farewell good hunters and huntresses, may you find your worth in the waking world." Hope you got the reference.

***Spoilers Alert*** - This review may contain some plot spoilers, so be careful reading it.

Obsidian's Knights of the Old Republic 2 is a compelling RPG set in the Star Wars galaxy and the sequel to one of BioWare's best games. While KOTOR 2 has some flaws its predecessor lacked, it also features some improvements so let's sort it all out:

Improvements, features, experience based fixes, pros, and other aspects:
    Plot:
  • We start the game as a former Jedi searching for survived Jedi Masters to warn them about another Sith threat. Her/His companions including Kreia(an enigmatic old woman), Atton(who at first seems just a Han Solo clone but hides a few secrets), droids "T3", "HK-47" and a few others. Bastila from the first KOTOR has a brief but poignant cameo.
  • Many games start and end strongly but have a lot of padding in between KOTOR 2 is the opposite. The first couple of hours are slow and tedious, as the Exile is marooned on a space station; the final act part feels horribly rushed, with subplots introduced and quickly discarded. However, the middle section (let's say the central 80% of the game) is as great as the first KOTOR.

    Game aspects:
    - The morality & influence systems:
  • The morality system allows you to choose between Light and Dark Side.
As a Jedi, the player searches for the Jedi Masters to warn them; as a Sith, to kill them. Everything is clearly simple here.

  • The influence system is excellent: It was one of the first RPGs to make extensive use of it. The companions' attitude towards your character dependent on the choices made: one character may appreciate loyalty, another deception: if you mistreat your allies, this will influence your relationship and result in some sort of drama. You can also train some of them as Jedi.

    - Characters:
  • Characters are memorable, voice acting is so far great. Special mention to Sarah Kestelmann, who is terrific as Kreia, making her both creepy and yet strangely sympathetic. One of the best Star Wars characters outside of the original trilogy. Villains are also fairly interesting, Sion's voice is very strong and terrific and he reminds me of survived Anakin Skywalker from Episode 3 after the battle on Mustafar between him and his former master and friend Obi-Wan Kenobi.

    - Force powers and combat:
  • Force powers are devastatingly powerful - too much so. A couple of them are so deadly when you use them all enemies literally drop dead. But unfortunately, most of those powers are still useless and as it was in the first KOTOR - lightning is still the best choice to deal a massive amount of damage to handle massive hostile groups, same goes to face to face duels.

  • Combat is very much unbalanced, yet some rare NPCs are able to challenge you if you play the game for the first time. There's not much to tell, but it's still enjoyable as it was in first KOTOR.

Was this game on a rush of launching?
    Certainly.
The game doesn't really end: it just stops. "Anticlimactic" doesn't quite convey what I felt for the first time, later I just accepted and enjoyed playing it again and again. As for questions about Revan and the Exile, the fate of the galaxy and the threat from the Outer Rim - They are left unanswered.

Result:
Aspects:
Score:
Atmosphere
10 - I don't have any better words to describe it but it's STAR WARS guys, really.
Graphics
3.0 - Clearly outdated for today, but still, tolerable. After all, it's a review for 2k17, not for 2k5, right?
Optimisation
10 - Not really much of a problem here even if you play on a toaster, though the game just crashes from time to time for an unknown reason(rarely), no matter what kind of hardware you use, tested on different PCs and laptops, rarely.
Sound
10 - Another time when all I need to say is Star Wars.
Animations
10 - This is what I love about this game the most, still looks dope with all those saber moves and more.
Artificial Int
9.5 - At the highest difficulty you really need to plan almost every single conflict to survive.
Story
6.0 - Nearly ruining the game as a whole. The main story is barely interesting, twists are predictable and aren't completed, feels like screenwriters got tired and dropped it at the end. Side quests are also poor.
Gameplay
10 - Tactical pause, thinking, thinking, thinking for hours at the highest difficulty. Then you die and start to think again. Then you die. Fun to plan your every step again and again, and save your game progress more often.
Replayability
7.5 - Personally, I got tired after the second completion, but since achievement hunting is a real thing for me... I think I'm just way too stubborn at this point. But it's boring, that's the deal.
Total
7.0 - Better at most of the aspects than KotOR, but much worse with the story what makes the game really hard to call the best of 2. So I call it just good.

Afterwords:
- Don't forget to add "The Restored Content Mod" that adds much of new content you might enjoy.
- After all, I'm still waiting for KOTOR 3 or at least a complete remake of the franchise without changing the main course of the story.
- Let me guess... I'm too naive... ._.

First of all, I want to warn all fans of the original "Devil May Cry" franchise:
This is not a "Remaster", this is a complete "Remake" of the DMC franchise - so, do not try to lower its rating only because it doesn't feel like any of the 4 previous games.
It's a modern vision of the game and there's nothing from previous experience left except for some gameplay similarities, names and hostile NPCs similar looks.

"Devil May Cry" - This game is a new vision of the DMC franchise and it brings us a slightly different atmosphere compared with what we used to see in the old games.

As always - of course all written down below based only on my honest opinion, and written only to help you to get a clue of in-game aspects, so you can understand what's inside the game at least partially, before you make a final decision to buy it or not.

As usually, I'll start on a positive note and review some of the pros:
  • Story - It is a very soft and full of cliche storytelling, yet greatly integrated to in-game world, has some biblical and demonological references many believers and atheists would find enjoyable.
  • Atmosphere - Sometimes I do really think the devs are cruel drug addicts, because the amount of craziness placed on every frame in this game and these popular modern vulgar jokes completely fit his attitude. There's not much of a change in Dante's attitude, he's still a badass, cruel towards enemies, still a joker of the year(after Chuck Norris of course). Just he acts more like a bad American school boy from some typical movie about violent and dramatical teen's life (no offense American people, I didn't mean to be disrespectful towards you guys, I'm talking about actual movies your country produce and I hope it's understandable).
  • Music - This is the best soundtrack I could ever hope to hear in slasher games with a crazy fast-paced fighting system, where everything is so intensive and completely fits the style of the game. Also, I love Noisia in general and I know they will never disappoint me with their EDM, atmospheric, deep or heavy bass music. Combichrist was barely known for me, but this game made me search for more of their music and I still enjoy some of their tracks after years.
  • Gameplay - Crazy, fast, enjoyable, easy to learn and perform long combos, one of the best Dualshock 3 integration in games in my humble opinion.
  • Animation - Everything looks so intensive and fast, hits look powerful, especially the heavy and charged ones. Face animation makes me smile and of course, enjoy it even more. Enemies sometimes move very funny and stupid what makes me laugh more, so I can't even consider it in cons.
  • Optimisation - No lags, no bugs, nor poor frame rate. Though I'm not surprised, because I've never seen a poor frame rate in any slasher game I've tried in my life, even in God of War series.
Now for some cons that frustrated me quite much:
  • Graphics - Wasn't good even in 2013, most of its textures look terrible, and poor even compared to some AAA-class games of 2007-2008 like AC and SW:The Force Unleashed.
  • Bosses - Absolutely all of them(except for Spoiler Alert! Virgil) are so easy to defeat compared to common fights with the other hostile NPCs, it's really disappointing and doesn't even give enough challenge until you get to the highest difficulties, but even there all other NPCs are much harder to fight with compared to the bosses.
Aspects:
Score:
Atmosphere
10 - Limbo sitcom.
Graphics
5.0 - Seriously, it's the worst in this game so far.
Optimisation
10 - 30 fps is more than enough, no lag and bug issues, just perfect.
Sound
10 - Depends on your music taste, but for me it's just what I like the most after Drum & Bass.
Animations
10 - Fun, this is what you get staring at the screen, fits perfectly.
Artifical Int
8.0 - Enemies aren't really smart, most of them can't reach you in the air.
Story
7.5 - Pretty interesting and funny for both younglings and mature human species.
Gameplay
10 - This is what hits the top, the most enjoyable aspect of the game along with music.
Replayability
9.0 - After first 2 playhroughs I felt I need a break, just to finally eat something and then play again .
Total
8.0 - Not perfect, but still a very good game that can be replayed many times throughout years.

Afterwords:
- The game is highly recommended for people who love fast paced action and slasher games with a highly overdosed heavy soundtrack of Nu-Metal and EDM stages.
- As for fans of the DMC franchise: Try to step away from all previous Capcom and Japanese slashers, it's not the same if you expect that. It's still recognisable but can't be called the same, no, absolutely not.
- I'd like to recommend all of you guys who enjoyed the game very much and wants some better challenge to try other difficulties after Nephilim. For example Son of Sparda becomes twice harder than Nephilim, while Nephilim is just a bit harder than Devil Hunter. I never played on easiest difficulty called Human, so can't compare here - That's all.

"In space, no one can hear you scream", - Ridley Scott's "Alien" 1979(©).

"Alien: Isolation" - is the game that puts you into an atmosphere of no hope.
It's like a second breath to the whole franchise personally for me.
So I can't just leave this game without a review, it surely deserves a honest one, so both pros and cons are revealed honestly.
Of course it's all based only on my opinion.

So, let's start on a positive note and review some pros:
  • An excellent old school design that fits the style of the original Ridley Scott's Alien movie.
  • Scrupulously detailed environment.
  • An atmosphere of despair and fear.
  • Constant tension, the game simply doesn't let you relax during the gameplay.
  • Visualisation and sound.
  • Optimisation.
  • Xenomorph AI. Even though it's not perfect and has some awkward moments, I still find it one of the most well coded AI in games.

Though the game unfortunately has some cons as well:
  • Monotonous tasks to fix everything and all at the station.
  • Shooting can't damage the alien. That's really weird because according to the universe, drone xenomorphs along with most of their common species can be killed by a simple head shot and the game doesn't explain xeno's invincibility somewhy. If it would be some special armoured xeno, then it would make sense.
  • Xeno has a huge station to travel, but it prefers Ripley's company throughout the game. It's really weird and not explained either.
  • Bugs. The xenomorph sometimes can't find you even when you're hiding in a locker being in front of it 2 meters away and it's staring at you. Probably it's an old xeno and it needs to visit a doctor to check its senses, maybe get a pair of some fashion glasses.

Afterwords:
- I highly recommend to give it a go at least for a few hours, until you meet your friendly xeno-neighborhood who only wishes some tail cuddles and sweet french kisses. Only after that you should decide for yourself if you wish to drop it or not.
- As for fans of alien franchise: Just play it, I bet you'll enjoy this game as much as I did if not even more.
- The game also gives a good challenge to test your stealth skills.
- That's all.

It isn't just a game - it's an Art.

As an artwork masterpiece Bioshock Infinite satisfies my most important need - it shares an exciting deep story.
I won't lie if I say this game copes with storytelling task just brilliant, because it is true.
When I played it for the first time I simply didn't want to make even a short break to eat, I was too fascinated by ingame characters and the narrative. I've always been asking myself - "What happens next?"
Irrational Games shared a mature story with amazing plot full of twists causing a wave of uncontrollable emotions. Developers had no purpose to keep us shooting stuff to simply make the game longer, their key was the story and I felt I wanted more of this, much more. But I had no hopes until I found out that it has 2 DLCs. I can't even describe how much my delightedly stupid stunned face was happy at the moment. This game surely brought me the biggest amount of describable emotions in my whole gaming experience.
I'm not even sure if it was correct of me to call it a game, I think it should be called an event in the entire worldwide gaming development.

Honestly, I could share all pros and cons, but I don't see any sense in that since I'm rating it 10 of 10 even after 4 years since release. So great it is at all possible aspects from my point of view. I'm trying to find out what I dislike about this game - nothing comes up to my head. I'm sure somebody can tell you - this thing or that thing in this game is bad, but I can't. I tried though.
I've collected all possible achievements and still want to replay it + I can barely name 10 games that have such a good replayability.

It's a story that consumed me completely and made me want to say only 3 words - Give Me More!

Okay-okay, I'll make it:

Aspects:
Score:
Atmosphere
10 - From birght and beautiful city it turnes to a real mess where everything is going to die, just what I like.
Graphics
10 - Looked fantastic in 2013 - Looks fantastic in 2017.
Optimisation
10 - I personally had no problems with the game, so I score it max.
Sound
10 - Epic - that's the only word that can describe it.
Animations
10 - Everything satisfies me perfectly.
Artifical Int
10 - Enemies are smart, you really start to feel it at higher difficulties.
Story
10 - One of the 2 absolute best stories I've ever experienced in games along with The Last of Us.
Gameplay
10 - The best shooter I've ever played, absolutely comfortable to aim.
Total
10 - Fantastic plot with deep emotions, sweet environment and comfortable gameplay, what else?

Bravo Irrational Games!
