If your skinny and want to gain mass and muscles, if you only exercise you won't get bigger. If you exercise you only get stronger, not bigger. To get bigger you need to eat as well as exercise. You need to eat more than you burn and lift heavy weights. So as you gain more mass, you gain more muscle therefore if you eat, eat and eat, when I say eat I mean don't let your stomach have a break from digesting food, always be digesting food. Big breakfast, 1 lunch at 11:45, 2nd lunch at 1:30, 3rd lunch at 3:45 and dinner at 7 and 2nd smaller dinner at 10. Having snacks inbetween the meals as well.

If you continue to eat this much you wil begin to gain weight and you must transform this extra mass into muscle by lifting big weights and exercising. Don't do more than 6 reps as that will train your muscle for endurance which will mean your muscles won't grow as fast. The maximum amount of reps you can do is 6. Lift the heaviest amount you can for no more than 6 reps. The heavier you can manage to lift the larger the gain. (Coming from a 16 year old who used to be skinny weighing 49kg now weighing 60kg with a built body.
