I've played nearly every notable MMORPG and hate tab-target combat. But I can safely say that as of the day this review was posted; Final Fantasy XIV is the best MMORPG overall.

If you have even the slightest interest in story, do NOT buy a story skip. The beginning part of this game is slow and the worst point in the entire game. But if you can make it to the first expansion, you will not regret it. They also made the base game "A Realm Reborn" a fair amount shorter in order for the beginner experience to not be as slow as it was. It is easily the best story in an MMORPG, hands down. And to some; the best RPG story, period.
