The action-RPG digging-platformer spawned from the Minecraft phenomenon, Terraria is bursting with proceedurally-generated co-op content, great pixel-art, and a cool difficulty curve. I've sunk more hours into more new and long-played games of Terraria than I do with almost any game -- and I play a lot of games, people (see my Steam library). At a throw-away $2.50 to $10 (depending how patient for the euphoria-inducing Steam sales you are), Terraria is a sweet bargain for hundreds of hours of good, good gameplay. I recommend for most humans.

For years after release, the creators just kept churning out free content. In sheer hours, this game has a ridiculous amount to consume. I don't have as much fun as many blocking up a big piece of artwork, but the gear-focused character and world progression, strong exploration drive, and solid gameplay make this title a joy to play, and to recommend to all your friends.

I have a 3DS but not a WiiU. There's a pretty decent supply of good games for 3DS. Fire Emblem comes out soon and there's several other good ones too.

Dunno, never played it. Same with the majority of my steam library unfortunately.

Gratzie! I couldn't find a good image to use for a Battlestar Galactica reference, so I settled for Tron: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20081119181020/tron/images/6/62/End_of_line.jpg

Hyperdimension Neptunia was my type of game until I realized that the jokes weren't funny, the characters weren't as cute as their art tried to make them, the battles were so mundane that I just held down the fast-forward button without looking at the screen, the plot was broken fragmented and pointless and the whole thing was stretched out like bubblegum attached to your shoe into some kind of disgusting stringy mess engineered to waste about 60 hours of my life. When I discovered that I had to be level 99 to face the last boss and that I had spent about 20 hours getting to level 25 I gave up and sent the game back to Gamefly.

... also Phantasy Star 2-4 are now out on Steam. Hope you got 'em.
