Horrible VR compatibility. Just not worth it.

The only people who could possibly hate this game definitely hate themselves.

Early Access Review
As of review: Game still in Early Access

This game is SUPERB. I haven't enjoyed a good singleplayer game in YEARS until Baldur's Gate 3. Additionally, the multiplayer is simply the same experience but with friends! Absolutely beautiful.

Pros:
+DnD 5E transported to a video game, save for some necessary changes.
+Near-perfect character creation. All that's missing is body-type.
+A diverse, compelling story no matter what route you take in dialogue options/character decisions
+High replayability due to the numerous story options, classes, races, specializations, etc.
+Some of the highest quality voice-acting I've heard in ages
+Dialogue scenes/Cutscenes translate emotion & true sense of the world SO ASTOUNDINGLY WELL
+Incredibly difficult if you attempt to use brute-force, incredibly rewarding if you strategize

Cons:
-Particular encounters are a tad too difficult as of this review
-If you've never played DnD, learning the game requires effort on your part
-The remainder of my complaints are chalked up as early-access (Unperfected cutscenes, spells not working perfectly as intended, 6 remaining classes to be added to the game, etc.)

This game is amazing and deserves proper respect & time investment. The most you invest, the more you will be rewarded. Frustration WILL come inevitably. Just know that whatever puzzle or combat encounter holds you back, when you defeat it that moment will be the most gratifying experience of your gaming career. Larian outdid themselves. Also: If you want an EXACT DnD 5E duplicate, then just play DnD 5E. A few things have been changed, but it does not make the game worse whatsoever.

Hope you can run it. Plays well enough with a keyboard/mouse, but definitely go buy a Flight Stick if you can afford it.

There are simply too many good things to say about this game.

The story is compelling, the characters find an immediate place in your heart, and their interactions across two intertwined plot lines create an amazing and dynamic playstyle. Every character is flawlessly voiced by a cast which was clearly selected with great care. The art style is so beautiful, it sends you into the realm of children's rhymes and fairy tales. The aesthetic simplicity and soft edges are contrasted heavily by the complex puzzles which obstruct your journey. A great game for anyone willing to put the time and effort into enjoying it.

Simply the most hilarious game on Steam. There is no ramp up time, so from the moment you enter the game you'll be enjoying yourself. A great game with zero mechanics or frustrations to worry about. Simply do as you please and discover knew mind-bending avenues to explore.
