One of the best VN games I have ever played. Mystery, romance, psychological horror, actual horror, eldritch implications, philosophical and metaphysical debates... even a dash of humor here and there. This tale has it all.

This game really makes you feel like John Space Marine.

A fun party game for you and your friends, full of whimsy and wit. Best that you not take the game too seriously, as every run is subject to a lot of random chance.

While overall a fun time, it does have a few flaws. It would've been more interesting if the king didn't know the plots each faction had planned, as well as given the option for any of them to genuinely support the king. I think that would've very much improved a lot of the banter and subterfuge that this game necessitates. It would've also been nice if some of the events didn't always have the same outcome where someone is inevitably screwed, like the jeweled crabs event which pretty much always ends with the Patricians losing a ton of money or getting jailed. If not both.

All in all, it's a fun party game, best enjoyed in small bursts. It should give you and a group of friends a few nights of roleplaying revelry, if not more.

Was excited for this release, but it's ridiculously poorly optimized. Can barely get 10 turns into any session before my game crashes, and each time I try to reload a save it just crashes again. Shame how much of a pattern this is.

EDIT: Tried tinkering with my settings, and now I can't open the game at all now. Thanks Paradox, very cool.

EDIT 2: After many patches, the game runs smoothly again. I tentatively recommend this DLC *IF* you can get it on sale. It's good, but not 20 bucks good.
