Rust is one of those games where its really good at good moments. However, it's also one of those games you loathe and wonder why you are playing this piece of S*** game when it's bad, and there can be a lot of bad moments. In saying that, there are very few games like Rust. Games that give you an adrenaline filled rush during a firefight, or raid, or base defense. The downside is you have to make Rust a full time job in order to play and see everything the game has to offer. If you don't, you will have a bad time. It's not for everyone, but it has its moments.

A little disclaimer: A majority of my hours came from CSGO. In saying that, my best approximation for hours in CS2 is probably somewhere between 200-300 hours.

I cannot recommend CS2 to anyone who wishes to play a game to have an enjoyable experience.

Most of the time your lobby is filled with either Toxic individuals, People who are playing a video game for the first time, someone who doesn't speak English, or cheaters. The overall feel of CS2 is worse than CSGO was. I know CSGO had 10 years of development to get it to the state that it was, but I don't see any reason they had to give us a version of a game with less stability, worse networking, practically no anti-cheat, and less content, and remove our ability to play CSGO. I've read some arguments about people saying "well how else are they going to test the game if people would just continue to play CSGO." Now I am not an expert in game development what so ever, but common sense tells me that you should be able to have a test server available for people to play on and take feedback from. When data is needed from more users to "stress test" a system or something you have a free beta test weekend, and I dont doubt a lot of people would have jumped at the opportunity to do that. Not everyone would have given feedback, but it probably would have been more than the closed test that they did with CS2. I payed for CSGO back when it was $15, that gave me prime matchmaking automatically when CSGO went free to play and I was happily satisfied with that as I felt I had gotten my moneys worth at that point, and GO was still playable. Part of me feels cheated though as now in CS2 there is no Prime, and the game feels unplayable in matchmaking more than half the time. Its getting close to a year since CS2 was released and we have had (in my opinion) no substantial big updates that should have been expected within the first year of a games release. They have done some small fixes here and there and changed one map slightly and added some community made maps to a pool that's otherwise not as important to play as Premiere is.

Maybe I'm just cynical, or maybe I'm just tired of game devs and publishers taking advantage of gamers because there's some micro-transactions in a game they can use to profit off of gambling addicts. Either way, save your time and sanity and stay away from CS2 for a long long time. If they give it the love that CSGO had, it could be a good game. But in its current state its just not worth it.
