DYING LIGHT HONEST REVIEW OF GAME + DLC

I made a review the game on the same day the game was released and I said it was a masterpiece. I do not think that anymore so I'm doing a re-review of it so I can share my thought over the course of a year.

I do still recommend the game, it's a solid and fun time waster with alot of stuff to do and with the updates from the creators the game have improved alot. The mix of parkour and zombies makes a really great combination and thus this is the same creators as the original Dead Island they have improved alot! The game is build up in two different map sections. The slums and The old town. Bringing you alot of fun.

The campaign:
It's a 'meeh' campaign and what I mean by that is you could predict the upcoming event after the other but the campaign is still enjoyable and worth playing giving you approximately around 20h of solid gameplay, then there's the side quests and all the challenges and quarantine zones to approach. Giving you around alot of fun while strolling around.

The DLC's:
  • The DLC weapons/blueprints:
They are very weak later on in the game, giving you no reason to use them but instead going for the heavier damage ones. The only reason I can see to use these blueprints including Buzz Killer, Night Club, The Punk Queen, The Constable, The Lacerator and the Wrench Kiss weapon blueprints is in the start of the game when you are unexperienced and fresh out of the box so to speak.
  • The DLC Missions: 'Crusine & Cargo'
Aren't really adding anything special more than 20-40 minutes of gameplay. A really bad DLC according to me do to the lack of content. Still worth getting if you're a DyingLightHardcoreCollectorMustHaveAllDLC's. It can bring some fun moments out of the quarentine zones.
  • The Bozak Horde:
Oh, this one is a real punch in the stomage.. It's a awesome piece of DLC and it's all focused on survival a psychopaths horrible and timed trials. If you make it to the end you get the best weapon in the game. Just kidding, it sucks It's really good actually. You essentially get a bow that you can equip with arrows of electricity, flame and explosives. Elemental arrows as many call them. The Bozak Horde consist of twenty to start with easy trails but with each trial the difficulty level rises a bit and most of them are timed. If you don't finish in time you die from an exposive strapped to your leg. You die three times and you're out. You have to start over the whole thing."Run boy, RUN!" It's a real fun challenge and it's not easy.. You'll get frustrated.
  • The Following: TBA 'I will get back to this once the DLC is released'

I love this game, it's a piece of very good programming, very impressive made and I love it. I will give it ratings i find reasonable and after playing it for over a year; this is my final thoughts on every aspect.

  • Campaign: 7.5/10
  • Side Quests, Challenges and Free Roam: 9/10
  • The Crusine and Cargo DLC: 5.5/10
  • Bozak Horde: 9/10 'very fun, very frustrating'
  • The Following: TBA
  • OVERALL RANKING: 8.5/10

NO NEED FOR MAXED PC!

I can run this game without problems on a GeForce GT 640 and a Intel i3 3220 3.30GHz, and I'm not joking!
Of course I can't run it on maxed setting but I can run it on lowest with a really good FPS.

You DON'T need a MAX equipped PC to run this game. I have no shuttering, no FPS drops, no bugs so far and it works lovely!

Why should you buy this game? Just cause.

My rating:
  • Gameplay: 9/10
  • Story: 7/10
  • Preformance (from my PC): 7/10
  • Overall: 8/10
Worth getting? Totally!

EDIT:

I have not (yet) encountered any crashes, which is great!

My childhood game. I was around 3-4 years old when I played this on the Nintendo 64. Today I am 17 years old. I just can't stop loving the 8-bit childhood game.

It's just pure love and alot of memories in these games. If the game
didn't start, you would just take it out and blow the disk. If you know what I mean, not in a dirty way. Hey, I was 3... or 4 years old..

As fast as I saw this game on steam I bought it. This is a win, come on! All six 8-bit games in one game, that's like almost an O-R-G-A-S-M

One thing that I don't understand is that, the younger me did really well in these games. I don't understand how... And the old me is getting killed like instantly... Everything was easier when we were young. Am I right?

10/10 I'd get killed again and rage a little bit, but hey! It's Megaman: Legacy Collection.

If don't want to buy this game now, reconsider and come back and if you do. BUY IT! CapCom's Megaman creators is more than worth it, bringing this childhood game back to the 20's with HD flair, a whole new challenge mode + leaderboards!

Been waiting for this game ever since the release on PS3 & XBOX 360 and finally It arrives to PC after 2 years and 3 delays. I'm been waiting for this moment forever and now my babe have finally found me. Rockstar is the bomb.

10/10 for not having to ride with my retarded cousin Roman ever again.

This game have so many opportunities. I really love it! The mobile app, the only hacking, the side-missions and the regular campaign. It's just pure awesomeness. You like sneaky and stealth games? Then this is something for you. 9/10! <3

One of the best and craziest indie/platformer and RPG games in 2D I've ever played! It's the adventure-action genre, and the music is just awesome. I just fell in love straight away. If I had to choose between Terraria and Starbound. I'd definitely play Starbound, and this game just shouldn't be compaired to Minecraft, because this game offers a hell lot of more stuff and playable areas than Minecraft ever did.

If you thought about buying this game and have the money now...?

GET IT NOW! WHY WAIT!? Let the fun begin!!! (:

I thought this game was a totally failure! A piece of crap, but when the 2nd update came the RAM blockage got removed. So I could play it, and I really enjoy it. I can only recommend this game to players that have a strong graphic card and a pretty good CPU. And ofcourse 6 GB of RAM or more!
