Not anything incredibly innovative, but very fun, a decent mix of comics, movies, and AU stuff, and I like their trying to avoid FOMO for the battle passes at least. Excited to see where it goes!

Game is a ton of fun! The campaign was a faithful continuation and set up DLC/Sequels well. I wish there was some mention of the events of Boltgun, but there's the future for that. Saber got some lore things wrong, but they seem genuinely passionate about Warhammer and adding content even for niche chapters (Any Castellans of the rift fans in chat?)

The PvP is wildly unbalanced, but I think some people like it that way. It's not the main focus of the game anyway.

Customization is good. I think it could use more colors (Why is this game allergic to the colors Pink and Brown?), a Gauntlets customisation similar to the Greaves customisation, and a custom chapter icon maker. Otherwise a ton of fun, if not a little limited in scope in terms of leg and chest adornments for most classes, and backpack adornments across the board.

I would like to see more weapons available to more classes. I understand wanting to be true to tabletop, but Tacticals having just a chainsword for instance feels bad. Also they should ad the fist mounted storm bolter, true power fists are cool and fun.

If you just sit and grind levels all day, you *will* get bored. There are only 6 operations on 4 difficulties now, so that's about 24 experiences in multiplayer if we're being gracious. The game is best enjoyed sitting with some friends in a cal land constantly trying whacky techniques and tactics. Don't be afraid to drop the meta, power fists and meltas aren't all there is!

All in all, this is a fun romp and has a dedicated team that, while I may not agree with them on some takes both on the lore and on the culture of the game, I genuinely think is focused primarily on a quality product for warhammer fans, and not corpo slop. This feels like the same momentum games like Helldivers, and I am hoping they learned those lessons vicariously, and without Sony behind them to pull the rug out they stand a much better chance.

Reasons to play this game:
- You love Warhammer 40k
- You like fast paced horde gameplay
- You don't mind heavy repetition
- You want to paint your little army men
- Need something easy to just boot and play a round or two of
- You enjoy high-risk high-reward gameplay
- You have $70 and about 20 hours to kill

Reasons not to play:
- You want something story-heavy
- You want a consistent and balanced PvP experience
- You have never heard of video games and have no idea how you got here and now you're scared wh yis this happening
- You do not enjoy horde shooters
- You heard this was a soulslike (It is not)
- You saw the jump pack in the campaign and wanted to use it (It is completely difdferent)

P.S. I checked the "Received for free" as this was a gift. I am in no way being endorsed by anyone, ever, not even myself.

I know for some peeple the game is too short, but it's probably my favorite game I've played in the last year, and if you check my account, I play a lot. My only real complaint is that I want more Orbo's Odyssey to play. The creator clearly loves the genre, and has a lot of respect for the player's agency and time, it shows in the way secrets are found, in the way levels are designed, and the types of rewards you get for your explorations and puzzle solving. I have enjoyed my 3.1 hours in Orbo's Odyssey more than my hundreds or even thousands in some other games. I want more Orbo's Odyssey more than I want more Destiny 2, and I've played a lot of Destiny 2.

If you have $7 and a few hours to kill, I implore you, pick this up. It's good at any skill level, the levels don't feel repetitive, there's no need to look anything up, and mods are just more levels from the workshop. I cannot express enough how much you need to play this game. I'm gonna play it again even.

And please, more Orbo's Odyssey, the people need it.

Honestly the game is intensely fun, but Street Fighter is a game that requires skillful timing for your inputs, and Denuvo is slowing it down so heavily that it is 100% not a functional game at launch. I say this as someone that adores fighting games and thinks everyone should play them: You should play a different series entirely until Capcom does away with Denuvo (And then play this game cause it's otherwise beautiful). Every match I get into, the frames drop like crazy. Recording this game is also a nightmare, let alone streaming it. My local scene is even dropping it in offline matches from what I know because Denuvo hurts the game's playability that much. This game should be a triumph, but instead we get an amazing idea kneecapped by malware with a PR team by execs that would rather harm their consumers than feel weak against pirates. You still look just as weak, but now Denuvo are the pirates.

Controls are the worst I have ever touched in any video game in my life. If you want good ship combat, play No Man's Sky, but save your time and money and avoid this game at all costs.

Warframe is getting review bombed right now, so if you see a bunch of negative reviews right now, please ignore them, and hopefully Steam does something about it soon!

Absolutely unplayable. Game starts by destroying your eardrums with the loudest, most generic music I've ever heard, then when you finally get the options screen working, god forbid you don't want to play in 1920x1080 fullscreen. If you attempt to change the resolution, nothing actually changes, and if you change to windowed, if you have two monitors it cuts it in half, and either way, it takes full control of your display until you leave the application. Then, once you have left the application, it reloads your screens. This plays like a mobile game from 2007 was ported to steam in 2011. Otherwise it was a fine game for a while, but I cannot stomach these issues to play it. I should not be punished for the year I live in (2022 btw since y'all forgot to keep up) and for having a second monitor. Boo.

Early Access Review
Honestly, even for an early access, the game has a ton of issues. Almost none of the issues I have are technical, so it's entirely by design. First off,the sun attacking you is fine, but not being able to sleep through the day means that often I just have to leave the game running in the background while I slowly lose blood, which pads hours and is boring.

My next issue is with enemy power. I like powerful enemies, but every inch of progress in the game is grueling. I keep thinking "Okay, now I can start having fun?" and it never is time to start having fun. You are never anywhere near as powerful as the enemies that will form massive mobs at the very smell of you logging into the game. There is absolutely no reward for your investment, only punishment. It's entirely negative reinforcement in the game, so while it looks pretty, and has a cool concept, it feels like the devs are mad at me for playing the game.

Death in this game is immensely frustrating. You never die because you messed up, or because there was just a difference in skill. You die because when the game stutters it is only client-side. You die because enemy projectiles are homing. You die because when you get a 5-10 point increase in damage you deal through hours and hours of upgrading, enemies get a 50-70 point boost in theirs. You always die because the game is designed to kill you, and that's it, there's no other point to it. Another in the long series of games post-Dark Souls that don't understand what made Dark Souls popular.

Getting resources is a chore ,and not in the fun way. Oh, you need scrolls? Cool, no worries, how about you go get 1 every 4-6 hours, or you can go to this town and maybe get 10 if you can beat 20-30 enemies that all deal your entire health bar in damage, at once! This wouldn't be so bad if you could loot in human form so I could at least check containers, or if enemies were remotely balanced, but neither is true, so it just sucks.

And the transformations + mounting! They are fun at a baseline, a really cool idea! But the fact you come out of almost all of them the second you attack, come out of human form just by picking up items and opening containers, and that horses chuck you off if something hits you, are all just anti-fun.

And a small thing, but not being able to teleport with items on you is super arbitrary and mean imo. I can't teleport in combat anyway so that's not really an issue, so it just exists as yet another way to pad out game time. Like most of the game.

There are some positive notes! It's very graphically appealing, usually very easy on my system, the actual crafted things look great, the base concept is a cool idea, and the living world is neat (Though again I would accept it pausing if it meant I could sleep through the day).

All in all, I';d say this is what could be a really good game if it wasn't obsessed with feel bad mechanics. I'm excited to see what they do going forward, and I have told all my friends to maybe hold off purchasing for now, but to keep it in their wishlist and keep an eye on it. Genuinely wishing the devs the best, and hope they can get past this weird idea that everything has to feel awful.
