This game is the piece of art that has made me cry the most. CDPR cooked hard, shame most people didn't give it the chance it deserves.
Made me feel emotions I don't have names for and deeply consider what it means to be a human.
I can only hope the next time we get a glimpse like this into this beautiful world Mike Pondsmith has created, that it hits as hard as Cyberpunk 2077, if not higher.

(Game run with Quest 2, through Virtual Desktop)
Let me start out with a couple things. First of all, I went into this game with all the excitement of a child learning about dinosaurs. Blacksmithing in VR? Hell yeah! Second of all, I am very weird with what I like in VR games. Sometimes floating hands are all I need, sometimes they're a detriment. Sometimes teleport only is fine, sometimes it isn't. My first impression with this game was not good. The game faded into a black void, and all I saw were the pouches on my waist, and my hands. Good lord, my hands. They were about twice as big as my hands are in real life, though I do have small hands, to be fair. They were also positioned very weirdly, but this might also just be a problem for me, as it's probably built for different controllers. The menu loaded in, and to be perfectly fair, using books as menus is a very interesting concept. However, the execution is just not quite there. It took me about 8 of the 11 minutes I played to realize that you're supposed to interact with the options menu using the quill, and the new game creation, with the signature, kept being a little weird. I loaded in, and an ugly floating head started shouting at me in a mine. I proceeded down the tunnel, moved some rocks out of the way, and realized that my music drowned out the head's voice. Bad idea. When I tabbed back into the game from my desktop, the sound was gone. The head, none the wiser to my impaired hearing, kept floating around and talking, and I tried to proceed. I got to another options book, praying to RNGesus that there were subtitles. As I said earlier, I didn't know I needed to use the quill to interact with the book. I searched in vain for a setting all too many VR games lack, and gave up. I tried to follow along with the tutorial, but I couldn't. I tried restarting, both the game and the save, but neither worked.
I'm sorely disappointed, both in the game and in the fact that I waited about a month to actually play this game. This had the opportunity to suck my life away, but there's only so much jank I can look past (*cough* boneworks *cough*).
TL;DR:
Wacky hands, cool menus, weird head, audio bug, sad gamer moment.
?/10, I wish I could play this game.
