If you were into the trailers and the demo, this game is pretty much what you'd expect. The story goes in some interesting directions and the voice acting is surprisingly really good. I've found myself interested to find out about each Confidant's backstory, but it definitely doesn't seem possible in one playthrough. The good news is that Eternights is a relatively short game that's begging for at least one NG+ playthrough for reasons you'll find out towards the end.

The game is a little janky though. The text and the menus feel really barebones kind of like placeholder text/menus while the actual ones were being worked on. They're functional, just not particularly nice to look at. For the most part, the minigames are also disappointingly simple or boring along with the puzzles. The puzzles are not explained/introduced that well, but they're simple if you look up a walkthrough. Sometimes the dodge also fails to register. Most of the time, it's because I wasn't holding a direction to dodge in or my timing was off.

Overall, this is a pretty good game that's "swimming in 7s."
